~Alex~

I tried to stretch out. I would've been able to if I wasn't still chained to that damn wall. I sighed. Zara and my mom seemed to be talking.

"That's not an excuse." Zara whispered. "Take accountability for what you did."

"I am, Zara. Don't you think I know what I did was wrong? I was on drugs. I couldn't-"

"You could've. Just stop with the damn excuses already." Zara sighed. "But since she's going to move on, I guess I will too. I'll never trust you again. And I'll never look at you the same. Y'all can leave that in the past. I'm remembering that shit everyday. She's my little sister. My baby. And you let her get hurt. Ignoring me and being a stand off mother to me, that's fine. But you let her get hurt. And you want me to forgive you? Ta... move on. I'm not going to. Just get over it."

The door suddenly opened. Gustavo walked in. He turned the dim light on, making all of us sit up. I looked over to Zara who quickly put something in her bra. No one else seemed to notice.

"Morning ladies." He smiled.

We all stayed silent.

"Well, I've come to update you all on what's happening behind these doors. First things first, no intruders have been seen. I'm afraid they still haven't found out your location. Secondly, Kenji's agreed to marry Gianna in order for your release."

My heart dropped. "What?"

He nodded. "It's going to be an amazing wedding. He'll sign the documents tonight."

I felt tears starting to form.

That bitch is really about to take my man. No. That shit's not happening. I'll kill her.

I blinked the tears away.

"So," My mom spoke up. "They get married and we're set free?"

"Well," Gustavo clicked his tongue. "Zara and Alex are set free." He shrugged, pulling his gun out. "I really have no use for you anymore."

I stood up, trying to get out of the chains. "What? No!" I yelled. "Gustavo, please don't do this!"

"Stop!" Zara yelled, trying to pull out of her chains. "She doesn't deserve this shit."

Gustavo laughed. "What kind of mob boss would I be if I didn't kill at least one of you." He loaded the gun.

My mom looked at Zara and I. "It's going to be okay." She smiled. "It'll be okay. You're going to be okay."

"No!" I screamed from the top of my lungs.

Tears streamed down my mom's cheeks. "I'm sorry for everything. I should've been a better mother."

"No!" Zara screamed. "Please Gustavo don't do this!"

"I don't want this!" My wrists felt an intense amount of pain as warm blood crept down them. I only pulled further away from the chains, making the pain heighten. "She didn't do shit you fucking coward! Let her go!"

"I love you both so much." she smiled.

The gun went off and my ears rang. Blood splattered on the walls and my mom's lifeless body laid on the mat, blood pouring out of her.
