My body immediately awoke as I felt the sweet tender kisses that he left along my neck. I stretched out, slowly blinking my eyes.

"Goodmorning." Kenji smiled.

"Goodmorning." I smiled back.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Not sick, which is good. I could use some food though."

"I cooked some breakfast downstairs. I've been waiting for you to wake up."

"Damn, what time is it?"

"Eleven."

"Eleven?" I reached over to check my phone.

11:56 AM

"Damn." I rubbed my eyes. "Almost twelve. I didn't mean to sleep that long."

"Well it's okay. You needed the rest." He gently rubbed my arm, causing goosebumps to spread down my arms and along my spine. "How'd you feel about last night?"

I hesitated before answering. "Your grandma was actually nicer than I expected. She just loves Amaya. Your uncles were also very nice, so were their wives. The children were surprisingly well behaved. Your aunts... uhm. I don't know, they were not so nice. I'm not even sure why. They just had this... bitchiness to them. And I don't mean to call them bitches, but-"

"No, they are bitches." Kenji shrugged. "They're very stuck up. Been that way since I was a child. It was so hard for my mom to catch a break with them around. I'm sorry for how they acted. They will not be attending the wedding." He got up, heading towards the closet.

"Oh... They won't?"

"No. They also cannot see Amaya. Or visit. I cut ties with them. They have whatever with my father, that's their brother. But they will not be having any connections with me. They crossed the line last night. They knew to act respectfully, and they tested their luck." He popped out of the closet with one of his hoodies on.

I nodded, allowing him to continue.

"Bringing up your family is something that they knew better to do." He continued. "Yet they did it anyway. I get that they have terrible personalities, but they should've fixed themselves up around you. I asked something of them, and they did the complete opposite. That's disrespectful. Besides, they hold no value to me. They just spend the money that their parents made for them. They bring nothing to any of my businesses or my father's businesses that were passed along to me. The only people who do that are my uncles and cousins. Even my uncle's wives do more than them. The aunts are just mice that feed off of what was already made. It's the way my grandfather spoiled them and put them on a pedestal while the boys did the hard work. Those women never learned to do anything for themselves. They're simply useless." He shrugged.

I stared at him, dumbfounded. "Wow. Oh wow."

He nodded. "They knew better."

"Do you feel sad about it?"

"Sad because I cut off my spoiled snobby aunts? No, not at all."
