The warm sun shone through the windows of the stable, waking the princess.
Link was still asleep however, which wasn't surprising. Zelda almost felt bad having to wake him.
"Rise and shine, the day's dawned," Zelda giggled softly, gently nudging him to wake up.
Link groaned, stuffing his face in his pillow to hide the smile blooming on his face. "Five more minutes."
Zelda rolled her eyes and began grabbing the day's clothes out of her bag. "Well hurry up, get dressed and then I'll wait for you outside," she said.
"We have to journey back to the cliffs now don't we," Link mumbled again, finally getting out of bed.
"If we do, than this time, I'll be the one to climb. That's an order," she said, stepping behind a folding screen to change.
After she'd finished getting ready, the princess wandered outside to get fresh air again. Link would likely be a while.
All of a sudden, she noticed a peculiar face sitting cross legged in the corner.
He had a lanky stature, and carried a strange looking pack on his back, which folded out in front of him to make a stand of some sort. The back of it almost resembled a beetle. A traveling merchant of sorts, probably.
The princess couldn't help but think perhaps she'd struck a goldmine.
Without a second thought, Zelda hurried over to him. He had a diverse set of items on display and there was no shame in asking if he had anything they needed.
"Excuse me, sir?" Zelda began. "I was just wondering if you had any-"
"Good gracious! Is that the Princess of Hyrule? In the flesh?!" The man exclaimed, instantly getting up from off the floor and offering her a haphazard bow.
Zelda couldn't help but chuckle.
"Oh no! No need for formalities, good sir. I was just wondering if you had any armoranth by chance?"
The merchant calmed down a little, then perked up at the mention of the potential sale.
"Oh yes, princess, of course!" He said, fishing through his expansive collection of good and knickknacks, until he finally pulled out the familiar purple flower.
"Here you are!" He said, holding it out to her. "Take it! Free of charge!"
Zelda's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Are you sure? I have money, I'd be willing to pay."
The young merchant shook his head vigorously forcing the plant into her hands.
"I insist; take it as my thanks for saving the kingdom, princess!" He chirped.
A warm smile spread across Zelda's face. It was always reassuring to see there were people in her kingdom that didn't immediately blame her for the unleashing of the calamity.
"Thank you, sir. You're too kind," Zelda said. "May I know your name?"
The merchant perked up yet again. "Oh! It's Beedle, your highness!" He told her, albeit a little flustered.
"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Beedle," Zelda said, extending her hand for him to shake.
Beedle, although a little nervous, shook the princess's hand with a beaming smile.
