The rito warrior stood in complete confusion as Link and Zelda began telling him all about what was going on and how they had gotten there.
The armory they had found was one of the rito caches that was used to hide weapons and supplies. Teba had apparently gone to get an extra bundle of arrows for target practice.
"You're lucky you found it." Teba said, still seemingly bewildered at the fact they even had.
"We are. Link and I would have been frozen solid if we hadn't," the princess chuckled. Teba nodded his head, looking between the two.
"Well neither of you should stay here, it's dangerously cold outside. You two look frozen enough," he spoke.
"You won't find any ice chu chus for a couple miles at least. We've probably got some back at the village in our stock. I can give you some there."
Zelda and Link looked at each other, their eyes both glimmering with excitement.
"Wait," Link began after realizing something. "How are we gonna get there?"
Teba knelt down on the ground, lifting his head to continue what he was saying. "I can fly one of you there; I'm afraid I can't carry two people at the same time."
Zelda felt a soft push towards the rito; she turned around to look at Link in the eyes.
"You should go." He spoke. "I can hold out for a little longer, I don't mind."
"Are you sure?" Zelda asked. "I wouldn't want you freezing."
"Princess, if I may," Teba cut into their conversation, still kneeling. "He did defeat Vah Medoh in similar temperatures to these."
Link beamed proudly at the words, looking back at Zelda. "See? I'll be fine." He said, lifting his hand off her shoulder. "Now head to Rito Village; the sooner we get our hands on that chu chu jelly, the better."
"If you insist," Zelda replied, eyeing Teba's back nervously.
"Forgive me, Master Teba, I haven't ever flown on a rito," she told him.
Teba shook his head. "There's no need to worry Princess, all you need to do is hold on tight," he said reassuringly.
"I trust your word," Zelda replied, as she gently climbed onto him while Link stepped back to give them room to take off.
Teba spread out his large wings and rocketed into the sky, all while Zelda clung on as tight as she could.
The wind that crashed against her face made her eyes water, signifying they were up in the sky.
They pierced through the clouds, that were swollen with snow and wind, which although were cold, felt amazing and exhilarating to the young princess.
"Woah!" She exclaimed, laughing excitedly. "This is so fun!"
Teba couldn't help but smile fondly. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, princes," he answered.
Link had told Zelda quite a bit about the stoic rito warrior. He was apparently a man of few words, not expressing much emotion, yet he was a devoted husband and father.
The thought of his supposed little rito child amused the princess.
"Teba," Zelda began, "I hear you have a son. I'd love to meet him," she said.
She could feel the warrior laugh a little. "Link's told you that much about me already, huh?"
"Well yes princess, I do have a son. His name is Tulin and he's a... a lot like me I suppose," he began.
