Link woke up inside a stone room he could barely see clearly. His vision was struggling to adjust.
Blinking a few times more, he slowly began to make out the walls of a sandstone chamber. Cross-hatched bars made of wood trapped him inside.
The orange blur that stood by the door soon formed into a legible figure; it was a Yiga foot-soldier. Almost as if the Yiga had sensed Link regaining consciousness, he looked back into the cell.
"Well, if it isn't the little knight in shining armor!" The Yiga laughed hysterically. "Nice to see ya' awake; I was starting to think we'd accidentally killed you."
Link stood up from the bench he'd been asleep on, using the strength he'd managed to restore, but was soon pulled back by a sudden jolt. Turning around, he noticed black chains cuffing him to the wall.
He shook his wrists a little more, the chains refusing to let him go.
"I would save your energy if I were you; trying to get out of those without a key is futile," the Yiga told him. "I'm off to go fetch the Mistress. Don't go anywhere!"
Link could hear his maniacal giggling down the hall as he went.
The thought of the princess filled him with a sudden panic. She was all alone and completely open to attack.
With this thought he pulled one more time in an attempt to escape but the chains yanked him backwards yet again. He grit his teeth in spite.
"If you think you're strong enough to break through metal then maybe you're not as clever as I thought," a cool voice spoke from the darkness.
Link turned around and saw a black clad figure.
"Is the brave hero enjoying his new quarters?" She asked, looking around to admire the cell he'd been placed in.
Before Link could respond, she slipped out a key from her pocket and unlocked his door, walking inside the cell. The most vengeful smile he had ever seen was spread across her face.
"If you're going to ask, we haven't harmed the princess yet. You can calm down," she spoke.
"You'd better not touch her at all," Link snapped back, standing his ground. His breath coming slow.
"Hmph...aren't you sweet. I suppose Zelda's told you all about me," she replied, ignoring his aggression. "I'm Mistress Dume, wielder of the dark lord Gannon's power."
Link shook his head, refusing to look her in the eyes.
"She's told me some things...you're awfully low; cursing an innocent girl," he spat.
Dume raised her eyebrows in mock surprise. "Really now?" She said, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Yes, and you ought to consider removing it," Link snapped again, his anger burning.
"Well, that'd just be counterproductive, dear knight. I mean, I haven't spent the last several months devising this plan just to decide I'm bored of it one day."
"And besides, you both took everything away from me and all the followers of the dark lord. I feel it's only fair you pay us back," she said, conjuring up a strange red and black orb in her hands.
An image of a bedroom appeared within the orb, almost as if it was a crystal ball.
"Picture this." She began with a grin.
