You were still dumbfounded as Jungkook dragged you away from the clairvoyant. Even if your feet were moving, following Jungkook's steps, your mind was totally off - the only thing you could think of was the fact that your mother and that woman told you stuff that were totally opposite. Even if you had always been skeptical about those people who claimed to see the future, somehow, those words affected you more than you wanted.
An evil man in my life? Isn't it too obvious that it's Park Jimin?
"Y/n, are you okay?" Jungkook stopped before entering the pub, still holding your hand. He was facing you, and he had a worried expression as he scanned your face. "Don't tell me you believed that woman."
Oh, how I wish you could know why I believe her. But just then you remembered again that Lexi had told you Jungkook knew about her. And probably about you as well. Which led you to remember also the warning Lexi had given you about his supposed supernatural nature. Man, you missed the days when the only problem in your life was being noticed by Min Yoongi.
"Listen" Jungkook cupped your face with both of his hands to make you look at him. "She was probably bored and decided to tell you that. Don't let her words affect you. Take it easy, those women like to deceive people."
You stared into his eyes for a few moments, having a strong desire to be able to read his mind, but then y ou nodded, and as you looked at his sweet and reassuring expression, it felt like everything was okay.
"Let's go check on your best friend, shall we?"
You nodded your head again, letting him grab your hand and pull you inside the pub filled with teenagers. "There she is," you stated after scanning the place and spotting Suji. Now you were the one pulling Jungkook, since he hadn't seen her yet. "Hey" you sat down next to your best friend, looking at her teary eyes. "What's going on?"
Jungkook sat in front of you two, showing a little smile to Suji as he looked visibly uncomfortable. He probably had no idea how to deal with a crying girl and it was kind of funny - he was usually very confident, so, seeing him like that was both strange and cute. "Hi" he lifted a hand awkwardly.
Suji glanced at him for a moment and then she looked at you. "Yoongi is a dick. He..." she took a deep breath because she was about to burst into tears again. "He..." she just couldn't speak and it was a bit frustrating, because you wanted to know what happened so that you could help her.
"What did he do?" You encouraged her with a calm and gentle voice.
"He broke up with me" she said with a high pitched voice and closed eyes, then she placed her head on your shoulder and started crying even more. It looked like the typical scene you would see in a drama, where the protagonist gets dumped and cries on her bestfriend's shoulder.
Though, you were shocked when you heard that, and your hands stopped mid air for a few seconds before you actually hugged her. "What? Why?"
Jungkook was sitting there, in front of you, with no clue on what to do to help you. He looked like he wanted to say something but he always closed his mouth before he could actually say anything.
"He said I wasn't his type" Suji hugged you tight, almost suffocating you as she wrapped her arms around your neck. "But why did he ask me out in the first place?" She asked between the sobs, sniffing against your shoulder. Suji had quite a funny way of crying, almost like a whiny baby, so it was hard to be serious most of the time - this time, though, she really seemed broken hearted and you felt very bad for her.
"I..." you took a deep breath, caressing her head. "I don't know, Suji. Maybe he had another idea of what you were like."
She just cried in response.
