"What? Why?"
You chuckled because of the shocked expression Suji had. You had just told her you hadn't met Jungkook in a while, and she just couldn't believe why you'd do that. "I was busy."
"Doing what?"
"First of all, listening to you complain for days" you started, reminding her about all the times she had called you and texted you just to complain about Min Yoongi being an asshole. "Second of all... nothing, I was just busy."
Suji looked at you with furrowed eyebrows. She wasn't buying it. "Y/n, what have you been up to?"
Other than finding out about my dad being a psychopath, chatting with a hybrid, healing the devil in my basement and talking to him while he appeared as a projection in my room... nothing much. But you kept that to yourself. The thing was that you couldn't come up with anything to tell her either, your mind was blank.
"You're still doing that acting thing?" She questioned, not knowing she had just given you the perfect excuse.
"Actually, yes. I didn't want to tell you because you kept teasing me last time" you shamelessly lied to her face.
Suji giggled but then she pulled you in for a hug as you both walked down the path, heading for the park. "I was joking, y/n. I'm glad you have something you're passionate about."
"Thanks" you smiled at her, finally being able to enjoy her presence without fearing she would burst into tears at any moment. It seemed to you she was almost completely over Yoongi, which you weren't surprised of given the fact that they had been together for a very short time.
"So, when are you going to see the hot police officer again?" She questioned, going back to the original topic. Of course she wouldn't let that go.
You rolled your eyes. "I don't know," you shrugged. I don't know because I'm still unsure about his nature, even though every part of my body is telling me he is a simple human.
"Well, call him."
"What? No" you shook your head. "He must be at work, I don't want to disturb him. Plus, you know I hate calls."
"Okay, then text him."
"Nope. I don't wanna seem desperate." You put your phone in your purse, knowing too well Suji would do it herself.
"What the heck? You're just texting him, how would that seem desperate?"
"I don't want him to think I'm begging for his attention."
Suji looked like she was ready to throw hands. "Guys don't think. Ever. Surely not as much as we do. Just do it and you'll see he'll be very chill about it."
You sighed and thought about it for a moment. Do I really want to see Jungkook? Why do I feel like I'm doing something wrong by seeing him? As if I was leading him on even though I had no intention of having anything serious with him. Surely, not a relationship. "Suji, I'm not even sure I want things to get serious between me and him."
"You don't like him?" She raised an eyebrow with surprise in her eyes.
"He's kind," you admitted. "Sweet and caring, very handsome, provoking even."
"But?"
But he didn't make me feel anything of what I felt when I was with... you stopped before continuing that thought, your eyes almost rolling out of your orbs as you saw Jimin walking right beside you. Shirtless, obviously.
