From chapter 29
You wiped your tears and looked back at him with a numb expression. Even though everything inside of you hurt, even though your heart felt like it wasn't even there anymore, you said these next words with no emotion in your voice. So much so that even you were surprised of yourself. "You're not anyone to stop me. And I will do anything to make him suffer, beg me to spare him, and then take his life. Just as he did with Suji."
--
You turned towards your father, with your hands trembling and your heart holding an unbearable pain. You were doing your best not to look at Suji's body now lying on the floor, lifeless, but it was impossible not to do it. And if before you had even one bit of hesitation, right now you were damn sure that you wanted to make him pay for everything.
He was mean. Evil. Heartless. He was all the bad things mixed in one person, and you had the luck to have him as your dad. It was so crazy how so many years passed with you and your mum having no clue about what he was really doing. Every time he came down in the basement, he treated those creatures badly, he hit them, tortured them, and probably even killed them. And then, as if nothing happened, he came back up to his wife and daughter, acting like the perfect loving husband and father. You really just couldn't comprehend how someone could live with two separate personalities, and not even once he made a mistake.
A scoff escaped your mouth as you stared directly into his eyes. "You have no idea how lucky you are I'm in this cage right now."
You father said something, but you couldn't hear him.
"I'm going to make you regret everything you've done your whole life. You're a monster pretending to be a good father. You're disgusting."
"Y/n, he can hear you." Jimin whispered as he moved closer to you.
"Good."
You father, though, wasn't affected at all by your words. How could he, when there was nothing but evil in him? It was at that moment, as you were looking at him, when you remembered something he said earlier: "You will not disrespect me, free my creatures and ruin my plan."
What plan was he talking about? Was there something bigger that he was planning? Was that the reason he was doing all of that for?
"Jimin?"
His gaze landed on you as soon as you pronounced his name. "Mh?"
You were about to ask him about that, but he had just told you your father could hear you, so you stopped before speaking. So, you tried communicating with him as you did in the hallway, by thinking. Can you hear me?
Jimin nodded.
You felt relieved. Has my father ever mentioned any sort of plan he had? Did he even ever mention a plan?
He thought about it for a moment, trying to remember if your father spoke about something like that or not. The only thing I can think about right now, is that he's trying to absorb a little bit of power from every creature he had down here. I know for sure he tried to do it with me, too, he always hoped I'd open my wings in front of him but it never happened. This would always make him extremely angry.
Why would he do that? What does he need the power for? You frowned, and an unsettling feeling started building up inside of you. You knew that was no good, but you couldn't understand the reason behind your father's actions.
I don't know, but one thing is certain: he's fucking powerful. Probably the most powerful magician in the world.
That's why he was able to catch you?
