:: your POV
Jimin let those words hang between the two of you for a few moments before disappearing from your room.
"Tsk" you scoffed. "You give yourself too much credit, devil." You said that out loud, making sure he heard it thanks to the connection you had. Since the day you had healed him, instead of sending messages on your hand he was now constantly appearing wherever you were.
He just didn't care anymore about scaring you or annoying you - he just made sure you weren't naked or in the bathroom, and then he appeared just like that, whenever he felt like it.
Yes, it was true that you thought about him and caused him to appear most of the time, but you had also realised he often appeared out of the blue, when you were preparing a snack or when you were curling your hair. He was definitely able to show himself to you when he was in the mood, and you didn't know how to interpret that. Did he like to be around you? Was he up to something?
You grabbed your phone even if it had stopped ringing a few minutes earlier, and noticed it was Jungkook who had called you. So, you called him back.
"Y/n, hey."
"Hey. What's up?"
He stayed silent for a moment, and you realised he was in the car. "I know it's very early, but my phone is about to die and I need to receive a very important call from my boss. I'm too far away from my place so... I was wondering if I could stop by yours to charge my phone before going."
You checked the time on your phone. "Well, it's 3 p.m., so..." you sighed, knowing there were too many wrong things about inviting him in. Suji could barely come there, because your father was afraid of the creatures making any noise or him doing magic out of the blue. So, letting Jungkook in was probably a very bad and stupid idea. "You'll have to wait for a bit so I can get ready."
"It's alright" he agreed. "I just need this phone call urgently, it's about a case we've been working on for weeks and I can't go to the station right now."
"Okay Jungkook-ssi, you can come."
He giggled. "Thank you, y/n-ssi. You're very, very sweet and I appreciate your help so much. That's what a good citizen would do."
"Shut up" you laughed before ending the call. You immediately started preparing so you didn't have Jungkook at your place for too long - charging his phone for fifteen minutes seemed like enough time. Just as you started putting some makeup on, you realised you had to tell your parents about him coming over.
"No." Your dad crossed his arms over his chest and looked like he would've never said yes to that. You knew it already, but you had a plan.
"It's just fifteen minutes, dad. Let this be your apology for how you treated me in the basement."
Your mum's eyes shifted between the two of you. "What happened in the basement?"
You stared at your dad, almost as firmly as he was staring back at you, and you had no intention of backing off.
Your father sighed and his expression softened a little bit after a few moments. "I didn't mean to make you feel bad, y/n."
"Okay, show it by letting Jungkook come to charge his phone."
"He's a police officer, y/n!" He exclaimed, frustrated that you didn't get how dangerous that was.
"And he's human. He won't suspect nor hear anything, I promise."
