Chapter 4: Dinner (Ana's POV)

Well, that was weird. I mumbled to myself zoned out.

"What's weird?" my best friend Toni asked. I didn't notice when he got here. "Who were you talking to?" he asked pointing with his thumb at the door.

"Um-the prince" I looked away sucking my lips.

"Bitch! You are talking to the prince of Vremineian and didn't tell me?" he dramatically moved with his hands while siting on the chair.

We burst out laughing. "He asked me for a dinner tonight"

"Oooo" he pretended to cough

"Stop it. It's not like that."

"Not like what?" he tilted his chin and looked at me through his eyelashes.

"It's not a date, it's just dinner. I'm sure he is doing that to appear more friendly in front of the citizens."

"Aha, yeah, that's right.' he laughed

I sat frozen for a moment avoiding Toni's eyes.

"Wait. It's a date, isn't it?" I scratched my forehead.

Toni nodded with a smirk on his face. He enjoyed teasing me. Idiot.

Well... Well, what? It's a date, I've been on dates before.

"So, what was weird? Toni asked

"What's weird?"

"When I came in here you mumbled to yourself ~That's weird~. What was that?"

"Oh. It's just this feeling. When I talked to the prince, I got this feeling like I've known him for a hundred years." I explained hesitantly because I couldn't handle more jokes on my account.

"Did you catch feelings?" he giggled

"No. No, no, no. No." I shook my head left and right multiple times.

I wasn't ready for feelings or dating, especially not with a prince who lives on the other side of the world.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night honey."

I was sitting in my living room smoking a cigarette, thinking about the dinner. My cat, Alissa scrunched in my lap and I rubbed mu arms through her fur.

"Alissa, I'm going on a date with the prince" I told her and she meowed a few times "Do you thing it's a good idea?" I asked her and she meowed loudly.

I talked to her like she was a human. I didn't know if she understands me but she always gave me an accurate meowing. Everybody talks to their pets. At least I think they do, so I don't seem crazy.

It was too good to be true. Why would the prince bother going on a date with me? We are two different worlds... But he is so hot and handsome and... Oh damn, I don't like where this is going. My thoughts were jumping from one thing to another and I couldn't keep up with them so I turned on the TV to get something else to think about. The universe literally said Not so fast because the first thing I saw on TV was the royal family. They finished with their duty and were headed back to the hotel. I saw Erik, he was wearing blue suit with white shirt. He looked good waving at the crowd and at the camera. He looked directly at the lenses like he knew I would watch the news and see him.

Idiot.

Minutes later I went to take a shower and started preparing for tonight.

I texted him the address and started doing my makeup. I didn't put much makeup on, I kept it as natural as possible and put my hair in a low bun. I pulled a couple of strands in front of my face. When I was done with everything, I called a taxi, I couldn't drive tonight, I don't know why.
