Chapter 26: Party (Ana's POV)

Erik closed the zip on my dress and spun me around, "Green looks so good on you".

I giggled, "Thanks. What are you waiting for? Put on your suit." He nodded, moments later I was fixing his tie, he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on my lips. I pulled away from his hands slightly opening the door. We could here people gathering downstairs, music playing and a lot of laughs. I noticed Toni wandering around the hallway, I giggled silently and waved to Erik to come closer, "Look at him" I whispered.

"Is he lost again?" Erik chuckled whispering.

"Probably" I giggled closing the door.

Toni lost himself three times around the palace. Each time he would call me on the phone and ask me to find him. I've stormed the whole palace from one end to another just to find him, trice. I will tell jokes on his account for the whole eternity. Even in the afterlife if there is one.

"Why did you close the door? We should help him" Erik laughed, holding his chest.

"Ha ha. I've saved him three times already, I don't care" I waved my hand dismissively.

He shook his head "You are an evil princess" he pointed a finger at me and opened the door "Hey Toni! Are you looking for the stairs?" he said mockingly.

"Don't laugh at me, it's not my fault that your place is huge" he argued.

I peeked from behind Erik "Fourth time sweetheart. Fourth" I held four fingers up.

He mocked my move and Erik locked my arm with his "Come on, it's time to go downstairs. Toni, follow us".

When we reached the stairs that weren't hard to find at all and huge enough to be seen a kilometer away Toni said, "I swear they weren't here when I walked in this direction earlier". Erik and I let out a loud chuckle. "By the way you two look awesome" he made a chef kiss.

We reached the main stairs and Toni rushed to pass us so we can be the only one up. Loud cheers and applauses were coming from the people in the hall. Our parents stood in the front row having the biggest smiles on their faces. Erik and I exchanged looks and started walking down, step by step. The guests were gasping at us, whispering something in each other's ears.

In the background a live orchestra was playing a soft classical music, making the atmosphere pleasing and calm. The hall had a floral aura, the air had a fresh scent with tone of orchid. The crystal chandeliers were sparkling, giving a natural light that wasn't uncomfortable to the eyes.

When we reached the bottom of the stairs the queen looked at us with motherly eyes "You look amazing" she turned to me "Ana dear, the dress is stunning. I can't wait to see the wedding dress, since you've already picked it"

"You did?" the king looked at me surprised "Without anyone's help?"

"Yes. I've always dreamed about the day I will pick my dress, alone. I don't want anyone to see it" I giggled. The king smiled softly, "I have no doubts that it will be astonishing".

"You will see it soon" I glanced at Erik. "Soon" he smiled, his eyes sparkling.

"Erik, Ana" Andreis approached us with a girl "Please meet Mariet" he gestured at the girl standing beside him.

"You've made it on time" I said shaking her hand "I'm Ana, it's a pleasure to meet you"

Erik shook her hand "The mysterious Mariet, it's nice to meet you" he smiled.

Mariet had her ginger hair styled in a high bun with few strands falling in front of her face. Her wide eyes in the shape of almond were shining under the light. They were green with a shade of yellow around the pupil. Her smile was big and warm, and her face made dimples when she smiled. Her dress was long, following her figure and curves, with tiny straps and cleavage.
