Chapter 6: Decision (Ana's POV)

"Let's say that I accept your offer. How will I manage my business? Have you thought about that?" I was still standing behind the bar, sipping from the vodka.

He rolled his tongue inside his mouth "No, but I assume you have good accountants and managers that can take care of that for couple of months."

"A couple of months? How long do you want me to stay there?" I raise mu brows at him in surprise.

"I don't know, maybe six months or less"

"Six months!?"

The fact that he had everything planned for me, for us, drove me crazy. He acted like I had no life and I could leave everything easily just because he was a prince. He literally wanted to drag me in his palace just because he wanted to, not even considering my thoughts or wishes.

"Yes, what's the problem with that?"

He doesn't even see the problem.

"Well I don't know Erik, maybe the problem is that you want me to leave my family and friends behind so I can have a six months honeymoon with you" I crossed my arms "Don't you think that's a little selfish?" I asked him

"Maybe it is selfish but I promise you will have the best honeymoon ever" he winked at me.

I walked outside of the bar and sat on the chair next to him "Sometimes I wish to punch you in your perfect face"

"Perfect you say?" he smirked

"Erik! Be serious"

"Fine" he put his hands up "Here's your solution. You will give your business to a close friend or a family member. They can manage it but they will send you reports every day and you can still be the decision maker just on the other side of the world. It's not that complicated, my family has international companies and we still keep everything in order. I can help you with it until you get used to it."

"Okay and the part where I have to leave everybody behind?" I tilted my head, playing with the glass.

"There I cannot help much. But anyone can come and visit you whenever you want"

"So they can visit me but I can't? Am I going to be in prison or something?"

"No, no, don't think like that. I just want for us to be able to use all the time we have and not be separated" he grabbed my hands. The moment he touched me I felt shivers rushing through mu body "Oh, my Gods. Yesterday I thought you are crazy, but today I'm sure you are" I laughed .

"Maybe I am but I know what I want" he looked away for a second "Why are you always saying ~Oh my Gods~ instead of ~Oh my God~?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, I believe in the old Gods instead of the one you believe in."

"Does that mean, no church wedding?"

"Yes"

"Did you just agree that there will be a wedding?" he giggled.

"No, but just in case you should know"

He looked at me for a moment, "Did you, by any chance thought about coming with me?"

"Well yes, that's why I wanted to talk to you. You are asking a lot, I'm afraid I can't handle it. I mean, you planned everything without me" I paused for a second "I feel forced, even if I say no I'm afraid you won't accept that. Do you understand me?"

"Yes" he cleared his throat "I'm sorry you have such impression of me. Please don't feel scared to say no. I might went too far with my offer and I won't be angry if you decide to not accept it"

I smiled at him "Maybe if you give me a couple of good reasons to come with you, I will actually accept it. You don't have much time though"

He scratched his chin, "I will try my best. Do you want me to start now?"

"It's up to you" I winked.

"Well, for starters" he leaned in "other ladies say that I'm a good kisser"

I froze for a moment and I pushed him away "No kisses"

He sucked his lip "In that case" he grabbed my arms and walked to the dance floor as The Twist by Fat Boys started playing "I'm also a good dancer" he twisted me around "You enjoy dancing don't you?" he asked me.

"Yes, how did you know?"

"I watched you that night, you were dancing at any given moment" he twisted me again "Look, we make such good dancing partners"

I laughed and so did he. I enjoyed that moment with him because I was able to see a goofier side of him. It was not much but I was way better than his enormous confidence and arrogance. We danced long enough, until we were out of breath. We were in perfect sync for dancing, he was not wrong when he said that we are good dancing partners. There's something in him that just makes me feel like... home.

"I hope I gave you at least one reason" he looked at me

"Yeah, you did" I smiled.

If only he knew that I already made a decision. But I wanted to make him fight a little, just so I could be sure that I was doing the right thing.

***
Earlier today I talked to Toni. I told him everything about last night and he was very excited about me marrying a prince. I knew I shouldn't have asked him for an advice because I already knew what he was going to say.

"Don't be stupid Ana, this is once in a lifetime opportunity. If you don't go you wouldn't be able to tell your grandkids that you stayed at the prince's palace. Go, explore the kingdom, let him buy you the most beautiful things, use the opportunity to rest and most importantly to get the hell out of this country. Plus, Petar will stop bothering you."

He was right. Maybe I'm selfish because I will go there to chill and spend money, but Erik is also selfish asking me to leave everyone behind.

"Fuck it, I'm going" I said to Toni and a moved my phone away from my ear because his happy scream was too much for me.
