Aki stared at nothing in particular. He just squirmed around nervously in his spot on the terrace of a huge mansion, fiddling with the red hilted knife. The tall, tan man next to him bumped his shoulder gently "Calm down. Not the time to freak out."
"I won't freak out once I'm in action." Akabane muttered.
"But when you're waiting, you will." Kenma scoffed, brushing back his blue dyed fringe as he sat hunched over a tablet "She planned it well. Don't worry. You just have to go in, do the deed and get out. I've already handled the security."
"Still not used to it." Aki said.
"You'll get there." Kenma chuckled softly "The longer you spend in the business, more you get used to it."
Aki was going to respond but he felt his watch buzz. Now. He nodded to Kenma who quickly pulled out a walkie-talkie and ordered "Operation begins. Joker going in, King on main controls. Ace do you copy?"
"Copy." Came a rather cheery response "Guards neutralized, all clear for Joker."
"Moving into target now." Aki, Joker, said into his device before clipping it back onto himself and springing off the edge and landing on a balcony, his feet making no sound as he landed. He was like a 'stealthy little fox' as Emily liked to say. He bit his lip under the black mask and picked the lock open before strolling in as if he belonged in the opulent mansion. He waved and winked at a CCTV camera Hi Kenma. The winding hallways were all clear which meant Ace and Jack had taken out the guards and cleaned the place up enough for Aki to deliver the killing blow. Literally. He found the CEO's room without any difficulty and the lock was all too easy to break.
The door still wouldn't open. He has more locks in there. Most likely electronic ones. Aki sighed I guess I have to do this the hard way. He spoke, making his voice deeper "Open up Vlad."
"Who is it?" Came a harsh voice.
"The Devil." Aki hid a smirk "I hate waiting so you'd better open this before I find another way in."
"NO! DO WHATEVER! SECURITY-"
"Nobody here to save you bud." Aki said "Just you and me now. I'd call it romantic if you weren't such a prick. Open the door."
He tapped a few times on the screen of his smart watch and a response from Kenma popped instantly. Aki smiled behind the mask as the door flew open. He walked in "Oh Vlad. I told you I hated waiting. But we can discuss your attitude later, but right now, I need to know. Where's the money?"
A middle aged, greying man whimpered in fear "I'll give it to you soon! I just-"
"Weren't you being all cocky a few minutes ago?" Aki inclined his head and imitated "'Do whatever' or something? Well bud, your time is up and as you so kindly requested I will do whatever."
"No, please. Joker. Please." He pleaded "I'll do anything. Just let me talk to her-"
"She's done talking." Aki said and twirled his knife around casually "Now just shut up and let me get this over with. I'm in no mood to drag this out tonight."
"Joker-" Vlad tried but choked on his own words because Akabane's knife was now buried straight in his throat.
Aki walked over and pulled it out and expertly cut his fingers off. Vlad couldn't even scream lest he drowned in his own blood. He then turned his attention to Vlad's legs and cut the Achilles' tendons on both. He made sure he was completely immobile and unable to do anything. Aki waved his byes and wiped his knife clean on the bedsheets before walking out. He left through the back entrance, earbuds plugged in, listening to some Panic! in the Disco. Most assassins wouldn't have left the way Akabane Inari did after a job like this but then again most assassins weren't Joker.
