28. WHO THE HELL SHOT MY BOYFRIEND?

Aki really got desperate. The guilt had completely taken over when he saw the broken and defeated anger in Nakul's starry brown eyes. He wanted to take Nakul's frustration though. He felt like he deserved it for being the one who caused it. Even if Nakul didn't know. Especially since Nakul didn't know. For both his peace and Aki's own, he needed Nakul to just unleash everything on him. If Aki was the one to cause the fire, it felt only fair that he get burned for it too. He walked out awkwardly feeling the skirt swish around his upper legs.

Kenma grinned by the grill "Look who it is. You look like a very grumpy doll."

"Shut up Ken." Aki muttered and grabbed a capsicum and started slicing it carefully.

Mrs C ruffled Aki's hair "You look really pretty but your legs are so skinny Akabane! I need to feed you more."

"Mrs C I'm fine." Aki smiled slightly. He liked how motherly Mrs C tended to get.

"You're having no less than five skewers and six pieces of pizza and lots and lots of veggies." She instructed.

"That's too much!" Aki whined.

"No complaining!" She chided but paused suddenly and touched his chin "Akabane I've told you thousands of times about biting your lips! You need to stop it son, you'll hurt yourself."

Did he bite it that badly? Aki brushed his sore lower lip. He smiled a bit "I'll try. Anyway how goes the college preparation?"

"He decided to go to EU after all." Mrs C shrugged "We decided he'd stay home. Cheaper and safer. I don't want him roaming around there, living where gangs are just itching to get to innocents."

"Yeonjun and Soobin live in dorms though right? Why can't Gyu?" Aki asked.

"Yeonjun and Soobin did go to different schools." She pointed out "Safer towns. Also one wanted to do music for goodness knows what joy and is living it up in LA. The scene isn't exactly prominent in Ellesmere."

"Yeonjun is doing really well though." Aki said "His first mixtape was awesome despite still being in school. Record deals don't come easy Mrs C."

"Yes I know and I am proud of him but the music industry isn't exactly the most... stable." She said, "I just don't want him doing something that he may end up regretting."

"He won't." Aki assured "It honestly looks like he'll blow up even more. Soobin's been good too."

"Yeah I'm glad too." she grinned "Didn't peg him as the kind to want to become a teacher. Especially seeing how he's so keen on following Yeonjun. But as long as he's happy. All three of them."

"Gyu's living it up though. Criminology." Aki chuckled "He's actually going to try get into the FBI."

"At least he's got Nakul to guide him." Mrs C said in relief.

Nakul turned up "Who's got Nakul to what?"

"Beomgyu has you to guide him in his path to becoming an FBI agent." Mrs C said.

"Oh yes of course." Nakul sat next to Aki "Just concerned because the job is a bit risky."

Oh don't I know. Aki thought grimly but smiled anyway, focusing on cutting the veggies. Emily turned up and clapped for attention "I have news!"

Aki looked up at her "What's up?"

"I may not be able to live with you boys in a few months' time." Emi said with a smile.

"WHAT?" San appeared "EXCUSE ME MOTHER GOOSE??"

"EMI YOU'RE LEAVING ME ALONE WITH THEM?" Kenma ran to her too "DON'T DO THIS TO ME!"
