Nakul had gotten stood up. He glared at the empty chair opposite him. Aki was supposed to be there half an hour ago. He sighed frustrated. I guess he's not turning up. Just as he got up to leave, not even having ordered anything in anticipation of Aki, he saw San by the entrance, arguing with the manager.
He walked over "San? What are you doing here?"
"Aki!" He shrieked "Is he with you?"
"No he stood me up." Nakul grumbled.
"Nakul he never came home!" San said, panicked.
"What?" His heart sank, he couldn't understand. Never came home? "San let's talk in the car."
San had apparently run over to the restaurant so in Nakul's car, he slammed the door shut and looked at Nakul, usually bright, laughing green eyes troubled and worried "He went out shopping this morning. We thought maybe he'd ended up roaming around on his own but he wouldn't pick up our calls, then he never came home. We got worried and we're looking everywhere but we can't find him. You were practically our last hope... we thought maybe he was with you."
"No..." Nakul whispered in horror. Aki... no...
San buried his face in his hands, when he pulled away tears were already forming "Shit... where is he?"
He's missing... Nakul tried to be calm and think things through. Aki wasn't stupid. Not by a long shot. He must have had a reason. Nakul looked at San "Do you know which mall he went to?"
San nodded "Westover."
"Okay then we go to the police station first." Nakul said "We need to wait twenty four hours before filing a report though. So let's go home and wait but I'll call some friends there and call in some favours."
He drove home with San trying not to cry. Nakul himself was trying not to break down in fear that something happened to his beloved boyfriend. He needed to stay calm and rational if he wanted a shot. He called his friend Hope on the car speaker, letting San listen in so he could feel a bit better knowing Aki would be looked for. Hope thankfully picked up "Nakul! What's up?"
"Hope I'm sorry but this is an emergency and I have to call in a favour." He said "We're looking for someone. Someone being my boyfriend Akabane Inari. He's missing and I need your help."
"Oh shit." Hope said, "What do you need from me?"
"Footage. Every CCTV camera within a mile radius of Westover mall and inside too." He said, "Is it possible to have them within tonight?"
"Luckily I'm on night shift today so I can actually send them to you but I'll filter it through for him. He's the black haired fairy right?" Hope had obviously listened to Nakul's lovesick rants about Aki and seen pictures of him.
"That's the one." Nakul confirmed "Please Hope. We're desperate. This is really unlike him and I have a bad feeling that something happened to him."
"Had this been anyone else I'd have said no. But since it's you... I'll do it. I'll have to use your FBI pull though."
"Do whatever the hell you want. If you need one of my organs just take them but find Aki please."
"Okay then Nakul. Calm down okay? I'm on it." Hope assured.
"Thanks Hope."
"No problem. I'll send you the files as soon as I can." She cut the call.
San was still not assuaged "What if he got kidnapped? Or damn it he's so pretty what if someone grabbed him and raped him and he can't come home? What if he's dead? Fuck I should have just gone with him, this is all my fault this is all my fucking fault-"
