The first few days of school went by pretty quickly for Sofia. She was actually relieved that nothing much really happened— there wasn't any drama, and she didn't get into arguments with anyone. Ever since the semester started she didn't have the possibility to visit Fezco— or the time. They would occasionally talk every now and then, but it was mostly the older boy just encouraging Sofia to get on through the day. She didn't really pay attention to school, but she actually did well. To be completely honest, the young girl didn't really care for her future. Even if she did well in school and if she was to continue like that she'd have a lot of options in the future, she didn't want to do anything amazing with her life. She always thought that if not even her parents cared about anything she did, then why should she be the one concerned?

"I'm coming with you, Rue." the older girl couldn't miss attending McKay's party. She didn't have anything better do to either— but Sofia wanted to tag along. Ever since her best friend overdosed she decided that if she wasn't able to at least get Rue to stop, she would at least observe her every move. She didn't want anything like that to happen to her ever again.

"It's a high school party, you're not allowed. There will be 100% alcohol and drugs too so no, you're not coming." Rue was now getting dressed, mumbling different reasons as to why Sofia couldn't even think of going. It wasn't anything much, but it was a party after all.

Of course I wouldn't let Sofia go. I was maybe immature, getting myself high all the time, but I couldn't let Sofia become someone like me. Not after everything I went through. I'm like really sure she would kill herself after first taking drugs.

"Please Rue, I swear I'm gonna hang with Fez— and plus, Maddy's going to be there too." said the girl while laying down on her friend's bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"Since when do you care about Maddy?"

"I don't, I'm just saying that she's going to be there too— and you know, she's still my sister."

Sofia practically begged me for like another 10 minutes— of course I couldn't say no. She was a good girl, and I didn't think she would do anything too inappropriate for her age.

"Are they-"

Maddy, BB, and Kat were all going to McKay's party.

"Oh shit- slow down."

"Yo those are Rue and your sister."

"Didn't Rue like die?" Maddy was actually really shocked to see her friend alive. But she was even more shocked to see her little sister alive. Not that she was trying sound like an awful sister (which she by the way was), but she didn't see her around the house for a few days— so she just assumed the worst.

"Yo, y'all want a ride?"

"Well, thank you."

Of course I didn't fucking say no. I was high as fuck and couldn't even walk straight anymore. I didn't notice Sofia at the time, who looked almost reluctant to ride in the same car as her older sister.

"Can you explain to me what the fuck you're think you're doing, Sofia?" Maddy was glaring over from the mirror while on the driver's seat to her sister— in the back. She seemed mad.

"Going to a party.. duh." Sofia liked making her sister mad, especially the times where she didn't even try. Actually, she liked seeing most people being mad at her. It entertained her— how angry people could get from like only two words.
