"Y'all wanna play spin the bottle?" Sofia visibly tensed up at the idea, mentally cursing the girl who she did not recognize. She didn't want her first kiss to be meaningless, but she didn't really want the other teenagers to make fun of her for the fact that she has not had her first kiss yet, so she decided to stay silent. Much to her dismay, pretty much everyone agreed, so she got up. They all took a sit forming a perfect circle on the cold grass beneath them, and the girl placed an empty beer bottle in the middle.

"Are you not gonna play Ash?" much to her surprise, it was Gia asking Ashtray to come play— she hadn't thought people would adapt easily to his name, let alone nickname, and she didn't know why, but she was glad when he saw him nodding his head. It made her feel somewhat better.

"So, basically, the rules are like that— if you pass on kissing the person the bottle lands on, you'll have to get a dare. If you back out now, you're still getting a dare. Clear?" she saw a few nods, so she just nodded as well. She hated being quiet, she was usually loud around her friends, but she didn't feel comfortable speaking when so many people were around. "Who wants to go first?"

The girl shifted her gaze to Troy, who was sitting right across from her— he took the bottle and gave it a spin, landing on two guys she didn't know. There were a few more people who then kissed, including Gia and the girl Sofia did not recognize, and a few others who chose to get dares— most of them included drinking and drugs, but they were all there for that exact same reason. It seemed pretty stupid, they were a bunch of almost-teenagers who just wanted to be cool, but that was how life was. She couldn't have stopped them, and she felt bad for wanting to hang out with them after saying how much she hates people like them, but she wanted to feel like she was 'one of them' again, even if she despised almost every single person currently sitting in that circle.

Sofia started getting anxious, and that's when the bottle landed on her and Roy, Troy's twin brother. It seemed kind of ironic, the fact that she had a crush on Troy and was now supposed to kiss his twin brother— it felt like betrayal for Sofia, even though the boy didn't even know the feelings the young girl once had for him when they were kids. So she decided to not do it.

"I'll have to pass on that."

"Come on... you haven't kissed like anyone tonight." Gia was the first to say something, obviously bored with the girl's attitude. "You'll have to do a dare."

"Sure,"

"I dare you to go and kiss your little boyfriend there who didn't want to play." Sofia turned her head to the sound of an asian boy's voice, who she later on learnt that he was named Justin. "Or you have to kiss Roy. You choose."

"Can't you give me like any other dare?"

"How about I pass on that?" both Ashtray and Sofia spoke at the same time.

"Y'all can't."

While Sofia was contemplating her decision, everyone seemed eager to find out what the girl would do next.

"Alright, then." Sofia stood up from her seat and went to Roy, she leant down a little bit gently grabbing his chin giving him a quick peck on the lips, and then she rushed back to her seat. She didn't want to make it complicated between her and Ash, especially since they have a frenemies kind of relationship— plus, she wasn't going to see Roy much at school anyways.

"Didn't expect that."

"No yeah, me neither." she heard a few people talking about how no one expected it, but she didn't say anything. Roy was talking to his brother, and Sofia made the big mistake to look for Ashtray— who she noticed was gone. The reason, however, she didn't know it.
