8th September 1987
They had only been back at school a few days and Liliana already wanted the holidays to come, she was exhausted. She could barely stay awake eating her food let alone in lessons.
Liliana had found her mind wondering, was she really the right one to be opening all these vaults? Was she capable? That question she answered instantly, of course she was. However was it worth all these people being worried or in danger? Yes she thought. Once again an immediate answer, her brother was more important than half the school, heck almost all of it; and she would do anything to get him back.
It was still warm outside as September was just beginning, Liliana lay on a blanket surrounded by her friends as they all bickered.
"Diego stop being so arrogant we all know I'll best you in a duel." He sniggered in response, shaking his head as it turned to face Tonks.
"No you wouldn't Tonks, you would trip over your own feet before you could cast your first charm."
"Yeah Tonks he is one of the best at duels." Rowan added.
"What happened to girl code huh Rowan!" Tonks said shocked, she pointed her wand straight at Diego's neck making him straighten up.
"Oooh look at Tonks getting frisky." Jae said walking up to the group making the two immediately drop their stance and move away from each other. Diego was unapologetic about his flirting unless it involved somebody he felt something different for.
"Way to ruin the mood Kim." Liliana said rolling her eyes.
"Moody as always Gutierrez," He grinned as he came to lie down.
"your constant frown of disapproval is still enchanting though." Said Diego as he winked at Liliana, making Tonks frown in response.
Rowan groaned, shoving her head further into her large leathery book. "You're all gross." Diego was flirty with everyone which always made Rowan uncomfortable and in turn amused Liliana.
Penny suddenly came running to them with a large stack of papers in her hand, "GUYS THERES MORE!"
"Elaborate?" Liliana said calmly stretching her hands behind her head, the warm September sun was yet to turn into the icy northern winter and she planned on using the absolute most of it.
"Well another kid was found to be hexed in the fields." That caught Liliana's attention,
"How many now? Is that 4? In 5 days?"
"Blimey they need to up the defensive curriculum here." Tonks said shaking her head and reaching for a lemon bite that Lilian a had displayed across the blanket.
"well 4 in 6 days. Madam Pomfrey won't tell me what charm was used on them and I can't recognise it."
"What do they look like when they've been... you know?" Rowan asked putting her book down to show her interest.
"They're a bit-"
"Oooh are their faces disfigured?" Tonks excitedly interrupted Penny,
"Merlin, no Tonks!" Penny said shooting her a look,
"They're the exact same, only they appear to be paralysed?"
"Well that sounds like no fun." Jae said.
"Petrified." Liliana muttered to herself, not quite loud enough to share with the group.
Penny looked helplessly at Rowan seeming to be asking for a diagnosis of the charm that was used but Rowan just shrugged her shoulders. Penny sighed before turning to the group again, they weren't being very helpful.
She stood for a few moments as if in intense thought and then jumped up again,
