10th October 1987

The group of 5th year Slytherin girls were huddled together gossiping while waiting for Transfiguration class,

"Do you think Snape actuall kills babies?" Kate said,

"Don't be daft." Rowan replied rolling her eyes,

"I heard he sucks their blood."
Ismelda said grinning, the all gave her a questionable look, even Merula.

"Lovely, that's lovely." Liliana said grimacing.

Mcgnagall quickly ran up to the classroom looking flustered, she was never normally late. 'Maybe she found out about the boy Talbott left at the infirmary last night' Liliana thought, speaking of him Talbott was nose deep in a thick Anthology book, he struck her as more of the novella type but she didn't know too much either way.

The class shuffled into the room and began to sit before Mcgnagall clapped her hands for their attention,
"I'm moving your seats, they are no longer optionable, understood?" The class all let out a groan. Slytherins and Ravenclaws got on for the most part in their year, the children in both houses were all intelligent or fiercely ambitious which is also why they would often clash. Well, there was the exceptional Slytherin knucklehead who would infuriate them.

"Stop your complaining before you're all transfigured into yellow rats." That shut everyone up, even Merula, the 'most powerful witch at Hogwarts'.

Mcgnagall began to list names and the first two were none other than Winger and Gutierrez. They both moved to the front of the classroom without talking to one another while names continued to be called, Rowan and a boy name Karne were next, the names continued and eventually each desk was full. Liliana also noticed Tulips absence, she was meant to be behind her and Talbott with André but she wasn't here yet.

Mcgnagall began the lecture, they were learning a vanishing charm 'Evansco', it seemed like it could be useful for cleaning which is the main reason Liliana bothered paying attention. She wasn't big on each lesson they learnt, however some were intriguing. How they could change the anatomy of objects would always fascinate her, even if she had grown up around magic. Tulip came into the class 10 minutes later, she rushed in with soot covered uniform and frazzled hair, no doubt she had just made something blow up. "What Time do you call this Miss Karasu-"
"I was helping Flitch Professor!" Tulip said before giving a questionable look to the seating plan. Liliana could tell Tulip was lying by the way she shuffled her feet, by 'helping' she probably meant keeping him busy by setting something off in the corridors. before Mcgnagall questioned her more she had moved to the only seat available next to André, the lecture resumed.

Mcgnagall finally finished her demonstration and allowed everyone else to try.

"Ready winger?" Liliana asked but before she got an answer he had already made his prop disappear.
"Well done Mr Winger! Miss Gutierrez you can't fall behind your partner now." Mcgnagall exclaimed, Liliana glared at her teacher and was quick to cast it herself. she aimed to prove her abilities, Talbott wasn't better than her he was just quicker to cast it.

The two students were successful and quickly re-transfigured their props to try again, after the third try Liliana was bored.

"Ok Winger I have a game."

"I don't want to play."

"You don't have a choice." Talbott raised an eyebrow as he listened,
"Whoever makes the largest object in this room disappear, Wins."

He scoffed at her juvenile proposal, "Surely there has to be a prize?"

"Ok..." Liliana trailed off looking around the room for inspiration,
"Whoever wins gets a wild card, can ask the other for anything, at anytime, once." Talbott stretched out his right arm to flex his hand before turning his head to look at Liliana in the eye,
