"Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires."

Contd. from last chap....

"No....no...my marrying Manorama was just my thoughtless impulsive act..." I disapproved gasping heavily "I know it was wrong, a mistake.....a sin, even if it was a fake marriage. That morning, I attended her school when her principal complained of her downgrading academic performance. On the day of her convocation, I told Bondita about it. When I returned from her school, I found her food plate and glass of milk as it is. I asked koeli of her whereabouts and my breath hitched on hearing Bondita had observed the rigorous fast and climbed upon the mountains. The ground beneath my feet slipped away watching her unconscious in the scorching rays and bleeding bare feet, my heart was pouncing my chest walls when I held her face close to me and it was the moment of ultimate awakening of my senses.
I told Manorama that I would not let Bondita suffer the consequences of child marriage alone. Manorama had seen my efforts to end Bondita's obsession towards wifely duties fail badly, she advised me again to handle her delicate condition carefully. At night, when I sat beside her, I decided to go away from Bondita. With a heavy heart, I caressed her face and left a note behind. Even on the wedding banquet when I was on the process of marrying her, I kept recalling my conversation with Sumati ma regarding my conviction for Bondita's overall welfare and bright future.

Tennis reflection (with a scornful laugh) - Was Bondita told she had to pay the price for getting her head caressed by Manorama's lover? Interesting! Fake marriage, because Bondita saw you taking only 3 circles without the sindurdaan before fainti...

Tennis reflection (with a scornful laugh) - Was Bondita told she had to pay the price for getting her head caressed by Manorama's lover? Interesting! Fake marriage, because Bondita saw you taking only 3 circles without the sindurdaan before fainting, right? Now how ironical is it to know that the moment you saw Bondita had not touched her food and climbed upon the mountain where she fainted under scorching rays of the sun oblivious of her bare bleeding feet, you attained your enlightenment that Bondita was your "reason to live" and immediately decided you would not let her suffer the outcomes of child marriage alone, but make her suffer consequences of mismatch marriage also!
