Anirudh's POV

Woman 2 - No Bondita, Sampoorna wanted to explain to you how wrong you were to think that Anirudh was involved with any woman in any way. She had seen your relationship evolve even with the huge age gap that you both acknowledged. The entire Tulsipur knew, Anirudh Roy Choudhury's gaze always remained fixed on one girl and they envied her. The entire Roy Choudhury household knew that there was only one woman Anirudh Roy Choudhury desired in every way, if only she knew, if only he could tell you discarding the bars of age he had set for themselves, and most importantly disrespecting your right to choose a man of your strature and standard, a man you deserved. He wanted the best for you, nothing less than that was good enough for you and he thought he was not that best. His insecurities were greater than yours, the inferiority complexes began from his age to what not, and you always add fuel to them, your antagonistic behavior reminds him time and again, that he is not to cage you, unless you wished to bear his name forever.

"No Babaaaaa" I shrilled "Stop your jibes. I shall rather stay single forever, than marry someone else except Bondita. Even my father has been influenced and impacted by Uncle whose fundamental ideas he himself was strictly against. He rejoices over his baseless predictions proven by my only failure, that has sadly overshadowed all my virtuous achievements. Maybe Bondita had Abhas in her mind since her childhood so she dismissed all my reasons as excuses, but why do you all...."

"Because, I know you more than you ever knew yourself Son" Binoy RC said decisively "Your only 2 hothead responses in your life were marrying Bondita to protect her life, and sending her to Devipur when Brijwasi fled. Often you wish to believe people are something that they are NOT, and then, by the Time you Realize Who They Are, it's LATE. On learning the girl you married for a greater purpose, is now mistaking your kindness to be love, you deeply regretted your first haughty decision exactly the next year. Didn't you?

"I know the cause behind everyone's armchair wisdom here" I stood unfaltered, sighing heavily. "These endless probing upon situations which are long over, cannot prevent me from asking a practical question to Uncle. Why couldn't you accept from my stiff resistance that I was strictly against such superstitious advertisements on Vermillion? Had you understood the logic behind my argument, then I wouldn't need to tear those cards to convince you and Bondita, that it was a misprint only, a baseless superstition you were fostering in her delicate mind. It's evident, you did push me into committing a dark crime and you cannot throw the ball of blame into my court anymore, so you proved, age doesn't define a pure heart. No kaka.....I have had enough. Now please dont start off complaining with those stupid conjectures like what if you had not paid for the vermillion sachets and fuelled Bondita's superstitions with it!! Now don't try to play the victim to the circumstances you created yourself."

"Ok Son, let's then use another conjecture" Trilochan RC turned back, halting with a curious smile "What if I had NEVER created the following dark circumstances? I was quite loud about my intention of a heir from both of you so I am not afraid to pay the price for my obstinacy, regardless of how heavy it turns out (stammering).....in the end. But, tell me would your broken bond with Bondita revive it's previous shape had you willingly filled Bondita's hairline with that stupid Vermillion she brought from the amt. I paid her?"

"Enough Uncle" I glared gritting my teeth, crushing the railing of stairs in my grip "I am so done with these constant grumblings now. How long shall you all keep reminding me what I said in a fit of rage then? Uncle, people do go volatile when provoked. They erupt in anger and speak things they later regret of having said. Why do you all take my every spoken word in a literal sense? I had torn down the cards and wiped out our conjoint names from the walls to convince you that, Bondita and myself cannot be spouses at that point of time. But, I didn't really intend to say we can never be so. Besides, I had not filed to dissolve our marriage till then. Therefore I am absolutely sure had these far-fetched conjectures of yours proved in reality, then my broken bond to Bondita could be saved and thrive to the fullest. I know the reason behind these baseless conjectures, which is I realized Bondita is the only love of life after Manorama's departure, and not when she stayed here, yet these conjectures are nothing more than lame excuses with malicious intent, more like weapons of my prejudiced family and the hostile society to chastise me"
