Génesis POV
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀

I've probably been down here good, hell I'm not even going to lie I'm not even sure how long I've been down here. Nobody has dared to come down to bother me until they were sure that I was calm enough to talk and not shoot them.

I finally hear footsteps approaching as I am putting all the guns back where they properly go, I look over my shoulder to see my father standing at me with a mixed emotional expression written on his face. I sigh and speak to him while I'm still cleaning up, "I am sorry for getting out of line Papa, I just don't understand why you're making me do this when you promised. You always said forcing me upon a man was never something you wanted for me. Is it just because it'd be better for you business-wise? That's usually the only reason something like this happens"

As I put the last gun away I feel him grab my hands and turn me to face him, "Conejita, please hear me when I say I am doing this not only because it is good for business, but because I need you to be safe. Our rivals are becoming a little more arrogant and reckless. And regardless of what your brother may think, a man especially in our line of business must protect his family. More importantly the women of his family. The Cabrera's live by that same code as well as I do, you are my world and I need you to be safe otherwise I could not go on with life."

I see tears forming in his eyes, which is rare and when I say rare I mean since I was born I have never seen my father cry nor show this kind of emotion. As much as this situation pains me, I know he means every word of what he is saying. I pull him into a tight embrace and softly cry.

He wraps his arms around me tight, "shh now mija, you will be fine I promise and I am so sorry to put you in this type of situation. Your outburst is justified no matter how disrespectful it may have been, I love you lots just know that. And Mr. Cabrera has been warned that if he or anyone in any way harms or disrespects you, the arrangement is over." I let go of our hug and look up at my father with sad eyes.

"Is he still here? I'd like to apologize for my rude outburst and make a proper introduction." He smiled at me as he wiped his eyes clear from the tears that fell and the rest that threatened to fall. "Yes he is and we will be having dinner now you've been down here for a while," he chuckled slightly.

"Wait, how long was I down here?"

"You've been down here for three hours," I gasped. "Oh my god, Papa I'm so sorry for taking that long!"

"It's fine conejita, it was better off we let you blow off all your steam or you might have blown off our heads instead. We know not to piss you off, especially not the best shot of the family." He laughed kissing my head and wrapping one of my arms around his shoulder and guiding me back upstairs.

Once we arrived back upstairs, I was greeted by everyone waiting in the foyer in small groups talking amongst themselves. Aurora was talking to two gentlemen which I assume were are dates that I may have mildly ignored earlier and my brothers were in a separate group talking amongst themselves. Seb looked like he's calmed down a lot and as soon as he saw me he rushed over to me and wrapped me in a hug.

"Lo siento Gén, I didn't mean to escalate the situation. You know I get overprotective over my niñera." He let go and looked down at me with a sad smile, even though I'm 5'5 him being 6'2 he still towers over me. "It's ok Seb, just a stressful situation is all." I give him one final hug before walking over to hug Nic and Tony then made my way over to Aurora and the two gentlemen, we'll see how much of gentlemen they are once they start speaking.

I just hope if one of them is an asshole, it's not the one I have to marry.

"Hey Gén, you okay babes?" Rora asked me with concern in her eyes, she's the same as Mama when it comes to my well-being, but I'm always the same with her she's truly my platonic soulmate. I smiled at her, "yeah I'm fine just blew a fuse for a second, well few hours." I chuckled trying to lighten the air.
