Génesis POV
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀To say I was tired as fuck would be an understatement, the last two days we have been running around making sure we were able to put our special touches on the venue and decorations. We were getting married in a church of course and then we were having the reception at a ballroom with a disclosed location for obvious reasons. I was just glad nothing had happened during all of this wedding planning because it was already stressful, especially with Mama and Abuela getting emotional every 5 minutes.
Against every wish I had, Matías had taken me on not just one but three shopping trips to make sure I had everything I needed even though this wasn't our house. Then Aurora told me the other night at dinner that Teo and Mat had some of their men go back out to the shops and rebuy everything we bought and take it to our house in São Paulo. After dinner that night I made sure to curse out Matías because it was beyond unnecessary, to say the least. However, he found it completely necessary even though I said I could've bought everything myself once we got there but of course he refused.
Over the last few days though he and I have grown closer, after that first night he'd slept in the bed with me because I ended up telling him I felt better when he was around and he didn't seem to have a problem with it. When he wasn't working and I wasn't working on wedding preparations we found time to talk and I learned about his mother and he is very fond of her they have a great relationship. She has her own house in São Paulo, but I would be meeting her at the wedding which made me anxious beyond belief. He hasn't said much about his father he told me that he was killed and that's how inherited the business, but that was all I presume they never had a great relationship.
To my disbelief he never wanted to be in this life, he never thought much about what he wanted to do but he wanted to do something where he could make a difference in the world. He just learned to adapt to the life he was given sadly. I felt bad for him but I didn't want to let him know that. But here I was complaining at first about an arranged marriage that was for my protection and he was in a life he never wanted and couldn't get out of. For the past two nights we've stayed up until 2 am getting to know each other more and every morning no matter which way I tried to sleep to avoid it, we'd wake up in the same position legs intertwined with my head on his chest. He never seemed to mind but my heart and the butterflies in my stomach when I woke up and see him looking at me did.
By the rules of Abuela, we couldn't sleep in the same bed last night it was bad luck, so Aurora and I slept in Matías' room or I guess you could say ours. And I'm not sure where the boys slept since Abuela made us promise we wouldn't sneak out of our rooms to go see them, even though I know that promise was more for Rora if you get what I'm saying, she and Mateo have gotten very close. They can't keep their hands off of each other, I just hope they'll be on a separate wing of the mansion. Matías also suggested that if I wanted to move or even redecorate I could do as I pleased and just let him know, which I swiftly declined because I wasn't about to make him change his whole life around just for me.
It was around eleven in the morning and we had about an hour before Mama and Abuela came into our room so we could start getting ready, Papa and Mat hired makeup artists for the both of us. Since we never let anyone touch our hair either we did hair masks last night planned our hairstyles out beforehand. Rora was still asleep and I was standing in front of the window just admiring the view. The endless trees and the way the sun beamed over the backyard was just a site something special really, then I heard rustling from behind me and I knew Aurora was awake. I turned around and saw her sitting up rubbing her eyes.
"Buenos dias bella durmiente. I put the coffee on the night table next to you." She smiled at me widely, "this is why I love you, always taking care of me. Siempre y para siempre verdad?"
