Zayd

He made a reservation at the restaurant to surprise Nayeli later since it's their 1st anniversary.

"Are you really gonna propose to her, Zayd?"

"Yes, mom."

"Are you sure? I mean Nayeli is a good woman but it's only been a year, doesn't it seem too early for you to get married?"

"Mom, why should I wait longer if she is the woman I see to be with for the rest of my life."

"Well, if you're sure about this I'll support you, alam mo naman na nais ko lang ang maging masaya ka."

"Thank you, mom."

8 pm he picked her up. Jackson is back so he doesn't need to go to the bar anymore.

"Saan tayo pupunta?" tanong nito.

They were enjoying their dessert when suddenly Zayd knelt in front of her. Fortunately it was a private room so they were the only one there.

"What are you doing? Tumayo ka nga dyan, Zayd" she look confuse.

"Nayeli, I know it's too early for me to ask for marriage but I want you to be the girl I can spend my life with so will you marry me?"

"I'm sorry Zayd but I'm not ready to get married yet."

She saw the sadness in the Zayd's eyes when she said that. She felt guilty.

"Why? Am I not worth it?"

"Hindi sa ganoon, doesn't it seem like it's too early? Marriage is another gamble, what if we choose to break up in the end?"

"Why would you think that? For what reason?"

"A lot can happen Zayd. You see Banjo and I were engaged but he still cheated—"

"Banjo? You still haven't moved on with that guy?"

"Matagal na akong nakamoved-on but it's not that easy to forget him."

"Did you really love me Nayeli or am I just one of your scapegoats?"

Barbie and Piper greeted her.

"So what happened, how was your date?" Barbie asked.

"How about the proposal?" Piper said.

"You know about Zayd proposal?"

"Yes, he told us. So ano nga ang nangyari? Tell us, are we going to be bridesmaids? Dahil ngayon pa lang sisimulan ko na magdiet para kumasya sa akin ang gown" Piper said excitedly.

"There will be no wedding guys."

"Huh? You rejected Sir Zayd's proposal?"

She nodded.

"Bakit?"

"Because I'm not ready to get married. Not yet."

"Is it because of what happened to you and Banjo? Here we go again. Hindi mo pa ba siya nakakalimutan?"

"I'm trying but it's not that easy Piper. Nagkaroon ka rin ng ex's at alam mo kung gaano kahirap magmove-on."

"Yes, we've been there, pero meron ka ng Zayd. Can't you also give yourself a chance to love someone else?"

"I'm doing everything to forget and to love Zayd but what can I do if I'm like this.. If only I could change my heart, ginawa ko na!"

Piper hugged her and she started sobbing.
