Zayd

He was very hurt when Nayeli rejected his marriage proposal, which is why he didn't talk to her or call her for a week. But in the end he is the only one who is guilty of what he did. He heard a knock on the door.

"Are you really not going to see Nayeli? She's been standing there for an hour" her mother said.

"You didn't let her in?"

"I thought you wouldn't want to let her in?"

"Mom, it's cold outside. Baka maging yelo 'yon" he joked.

"Sinusunod lang kita. Blame it on yourself, if you had just let Nayeli in, hindi iyong nagtatago ka rito sa kwarto mo. Now go to her you punk" litanya ng ina.

"Are you going to join a rap battle? Because I'll bet you win."

"Whatever."

His mother turned her back so he just laughed at her. He went out the house. Nayeli was still there. Thank God.

Hindi ba nito nakikita na ang kapal ng snow. Tsk. What goes into her mind?

Pakiramdam niya any time magiging yelo na siya dahil kanina pa siya nakatayo sa labas ng bahay nila Zayd. Grrr...shivering.. shivering...And not even a shadow of Zayd open the door for her.

Is she risking too much for this? But she can't do anything, it's her fault. Then she started to do jumping jacks that she thought would get rid of the cold.

"What are you doing?" said a voice behind her.

When she looked back it was Zayd. Suddenly her face lit up.

"Zayd..."

"Do you really want to get sick? Nag-iisip ka ba?" his voice sound fury.

"Because you don't want to go out. I was waiting for you, you didn't even call me or text me. I thought we were okay? You said we were okay then just like, here you are being cold" she started sobbing.

"I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. If I hadn't rejected you, you wouldn't be like this. Maybe one day I can finally say yes to you. But you surprise me and right now I'm not ready. Please don't hate me, Zayd."

"I don't hate you and sorry for my cold treatment. Anyway, I'll wait for that day you will finally say yes to me."

"Okay, but for now can we go inside nilalamig na ako."

He pinched her cheeks then he picked her up. After entering the house, he throw her on the coach.

"You're so sweet, may natitira ka pa yatang galit sa akin" she pouted fixing herself.

He chuckled and then he hugged her.

"I miss you" he whispered.

"Me too" she said shyly. She really missed him.

"Nagugutom ka ba? I'll get some food."

"Kahit kape na lang."

"Alright, wait me here."

Later, Zayd's mother suddenly came out, preparing to leave.

"Good afternoon po tita" she greeted her.

"Hi. Mabuti naman at nagkaayos na kayo ng anak ko. I'm sorry if I didn't open the door for you, actually si Zayd ang may gusto niyon, not me dear. I don't want you to misunderstand."

"Mom, you betrayed me" Zayd said while holding a cup of coffee.

"Because that's the truth. Anyway, I need to go to work let's talk another time Nayeli."

"Okay po, ingat po."

When Zayd's mother left, she strike him with a pillow.

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"Ikaw naman pala ang may ayaw na pagbuksan ako ng pinto."

"I'm sorry. Nagtatampo lang talaga ako."

"Sorry your face, hmp."

"Huwag ka ng magalit, here's your coffee."

"Ikaw ang uminom niyan."

And the daft bimbo actually drank it.

"Bakit mo ininom?" tanong niya.

"You said I should drink it."

"Can't you see I'm just being sarcastic."

"Why are you so mad?"

"Because you're annoying. Dapat pala hindi na ako pumunta rito" she said about to leave.

"Oh saan ka na naman pupunta?"

"I am going home."

"It's snowing outside, go home tomorrow. Just stay here for tonight."

"Tsk."

"Huwag ka ng magalit, ipagtitimpla na lang ulit kita ng kape."

"Okay." She smiled. She's not really mad at him, she just wants to make him a little bit better, she misses being coaxed by him.

She got a call from Piper.

"Hoy nasaan ka? When I woke up earlier you weren't here."

"Nandito ako sa kanila Zayd."

"Ow. How did things go?"

"Good."

"Okay. Are you going home?"

"I don't seem to have any intention of going home."

"Ang landi hahaha, gusto ko kayong saksakin dalawa ni Barbie, iniwan niyo akong mag-isa rito sa apartment."

"Nasaan pala si Barbie?"

"She was picked up here by her Japanese boyfriend kaninang hapon so I'm all alone."

"Wala ka bang date?"

"That bastard, hindi niya ako niyaya ng date."

She laughed at her.

"Anyway have fun, baka nakakaistorbo na ako dyan. And please tell Sir Zayd not to forget to use protection pero kung gusto mo ng mabuntis, forget it. Bye!"

Her friend's last words made her blush.
