Kabanata 17 (Get Drunk)

Zayd

She's eager to drink all the alcohol in the shelves. She even drink straight on the bottle.

"Nayeli, you're drunk. I'll take you home."

"I'm not going home" pagmamatigas pa nito.

"So anong balak mo? Ang uminom dito hanggang umaga?"

"Yes!"

"Let's go, woman."

"Can you just leave me alone."

"I can't leave you alone."

"Then shut up! And one more thing, I can't go home like this, I'm totally fine, I don't want Barbie and Piper to worry."

He just shook his head. Later on, nakasubsob na ang mukha nito sa mesa.

"Nayeli?" he gently tap her shoulder pero hindi man lang ito gumalaw.

Nakatulog na pala ito. Kinuha niya ang bote na hawak nito at itinabi iyon.

He picked her up and put her in the car. Fortunately his mother is on duty, she won't know that he brought a girl home. Si Nayeli at ex niyang si Kendra pa lang ang nadadala niya sa bahay. His flings, he didn't even introduce them to his mother.

"Banjo?" Nayeli called him, she even mistook him for her ex dahil sa kalasingan nito.

"I'm not Banjo"  he answered.

"Of course you are! You're really going to deny it, isn't it enough that you hurt me so much. Nakikita mo ba ang itsura ko ngayon? Do you know how much tears I've cried because of you? Why did you hurt me, Banj? You promised to never hurt me! Ang kapal ng mukha mo!" pinaghahampas siya nito.

"What the hell Nayeli" he complained.

"You deserve it. And you also deserve to be punched in the face!" she really punched him in the face and not only that she also vomit on him. Pagkatapos ay humiga ito sa sahig. He sighed.

Binuhat niya ito at ipinasok sa kwarto. Matapos palitan ang damit nito  ay lumabas na siya.

Nayeli

Hinawakan niya ang kanyang ulo parang mabibiyak iyon sa sakit. This is the reason why she doesn't want to drink. Why did she drink again? She looked around and it just registered to her that she was not in her apartment. Where is she? Who's house is this? Dahil sa kalasingan she don't know how she got there. The last thing she remembered was that she was drinking with Zayd at the bar. Zayd? Don't tell me... Niyakap niya ang sarili. She is wearing different clothes. Natutop niya ang bibig. She's wearing some cartoon pajamas. She looks cute though. Damn you Nayeli, this is not the time to praise yourself.

She opened the door. She walked slowly. She passed by the kitchen and saw Zayd busy cooking. And take note he's half naked while cooking. He's top is a pink apron.

Is he thinking he's cute with that pink apron? her mind screamed.

She blushed when he suddenly turned around. She gulped.

"Glad you're awake. It's already cooked. Halika na, mag-almusal na tayo" he said.

"No, uuwi na ako."

"Come on, join me. Don't be shy. At isa pa uminom ka kagabi ng walang laman iyang tiyan mo."

Dahan-dahan siyang umupo. She couldn't look at him. She is ashamed of herself. She don't even remember what did she do last night. May ginawa ba siyang kalat o natulog lang? Hindi naman kasi siya sanay uminom kaya hindi niya rin alam kung ano ang epekto sa kanya ng alak kapag nalalasing na siya. She only hope na wala nga talaga siyang ginawa na hindi maganda.
