Chapter XIX

Sunghoon's POV

It's been days since Sunoo and I had spoken with each other. Both of us were busy doing our finals project with our respective partners. I wasn't doing any better, I keep on having consecutive nightmares. My eyebags were showing from the lack of sleep.

Sunoo seems to be doing great though. All smiles whenever I see him around Yeonjun or at the halls. It's like our fight hasn't even affected him. Did I matter so little to Sunoo?

"Sunghoon are you sleeping properly?" Heeseung asked. I just showed him a lifeless smile, not having the energy to reply to him. He didn't ask any further and just gave me some food, "Don't forget to eat ok?" He said in a soft voice.

I ate quietly and he sat with me as I ate. He probably knew what was happening to me. He had seen me like this once and this was his way of showing his care. I appreciated it, but it was not what I needed to get better. Leia saw me and came my way,

"Sunghoon! Let's get back to working on our project so we can finish early!"

I got up and walked for a beeline to the library, leaving Leia in my dust. "Sunghoon, wait up!" She huffed as she tried to catch up with me. I stopped in my tracks and she ran into me. I stood my ground but I couldn't say the same for her, she was going to fall. I managed to get a hold of her back and helped her up. I muttered, "Sorry I didn't mean to hurt you."

While I was helping her up, she suddenly hugged me. "Sunghoon! Thank you!" I wasn't liking the physical contact and managed to get away. I kept my distance from her as we went to the library to work, and while we were doing our project I still kept my distance from her. Sunoo, I miss you.

Sunoo's POV

I miss Sunghoon. We've been full-on ignoring each other, not willing to talk to each other. Well, we were busy in our lives with the project but...

"Ddeonu! Let's go?" Yeonjun getting used to his nickname to me but it felt different when Sunghoon uses it on me. I smiled like my usual self, "Sure Yeonjun, let's get back to working." This is what I show to the surface, my bright sunny self. It has been like this ever since I started partnering with Yeonjun. In truth, I've been very anxious. I was scared that I might've done something that harmed Sunghoon and our relationship.

I've been doing some thinking on how to be friends with Sunghoon again. I sometimes see him roaming in the halls and thinking it would be a perfect time to talk to him. I was too scared to commit to it and actually approach him. I was afraid he might not accept my apology, I hate my temper so much.

Me and Yeonjun were walking peacefully to the library. I saw Sunghoon just standing, but then he turned around and I saw his partner. The girl crashed onto Sunghoon, Sunghoon was unfazed but she wasn't so lucky and started to wave around her arms trying to catch her balance.

She was close to falling but Sunghoon caught her, wrapping his hands around her waist. She even hugged him after he caught her. That feeling again, that tight feeling on my chest. Yeonjun locked his arms with mine, "Sunoo? Let's go inside." I went back to my usual self and nodded at him.

Was I too late?
