Chapter XXVI

Sunoo's POV

Was I dreaming? Did I just hear Sunghoon's voice?

I looked down at his bed, his face smiling at me. He no longer had any bandages on his face, his beauty was fully shown. "Are are you- Do you remember me Sunghoon?" I panicked, still scared of how what his state was.

"I love you cutie."

I cried, crashing onto his arms. He hugged me tightly, it felt like the world around us was at a pause. The universe was truly on our side. "I missed you so much Hoonie! You worried us too much!" I cried out to him. He just laughed while caressing my head, still holding on to me tightly. I can't believe it, it's a happy ending for me.

Shortly after, I called our friends and his parents about what happened to Sunghoon, that he woke up and he's okay. Sunghoon's parents didn't reply to me, they were probably in the sky by now. Heeseung and the others were quick to arrive and greet him, "Sunghoon! You're okay, right? You remember all of us?" Heeseung asked as he arrived by the door.

"There's no way I'd forget the important people to me." Sunghoon assured us and everyone rushed in to embrace him. It felt like we were a family. All of us caught up about what was happening in our lives, Sunghoon listened and looked at us with such loving eyes.

Sunghoon's POV

I listened intently to what they were saying. Jay and Jungwon had gotten close with each other, Heeseung and Jake were sitting beside each other but Jake held Heeseung's hand and put it in his pocket. Heeseung didn't seem to notice because he was busy looking after me even after I said I was fine. I missed out on so much.

The person I missed the most was the one who apparently visited me every day. They told me how Sunoo went out of his way to take care of me and tell stories about his day. I didn't know any of it, I couldn't hear anything when I was asleep the whole time. Sunoo looked embarrassed when they were talking about it. It's a good thing my love for him still hasn't changed.

I felt that something was tugging me to the light when I was asleep. It had been like that for the whole week. When finally, I woke up and opened my eyes to Sunoo screaming out that he likes me. I knew I had liked the right person when I saw him. I couldn't help but admire him when he was letting out his feelings, I had to respond to him.

So I told him I like him too.

Sunoo's POV

Everyone didn't notice it was already time to go home. Time passed by quickly as we talked with each other. The others bid their goodbyes to Sunghoon and I was getting ready to leave too but Sunghoon caught my hand before I could go, "Stay here cutie, I need to talk to you." Oh how I missed being called cutie by Sunghoon.

I grabbed a chair and sat beside him, "What do you need to talk about Hoonie? I'm all ears." He looked hesitant to speak but he was able to voice it out, "Before the... accident, you were reading Last Memoria right? Were you... were you able to finish it?" When he mentioned it, I immediately remembered Sunghoon's name written on the last page, it said I love you Sunghoon.

"Now that you mention it, I saw your name on the last page of the book with the words 'I love you.' Why was your name there Hoonie?" I curiously asked. He took a deep breath before replying,

The author of that book was my first love.
