I am seriously out of my depth here. Though despite all that, despite the fact that THE Akali is spending her night with me in a friendship sense is more than what I ever imagined myself doing. I should thank Ekko and Yasuo whenever I muster up the courage to even talk to them after learning I am playing with them.

God their tags are like clear giveaways.

Walking out of the place towards her bike, I am still running through my thoughts as she sits on her bike.

"Thanks for making time," she says as she rests her helmet on her lap, "Was fun, and no I am not just saying it for the sake of making you feel better about yourself."

I chuckle, "So the feeling better part is just a plus?"

"Yep."

I then glance to the side as I spot a duo walking in our direction, and as fate would have it is Conrad and some girl I have never met before. Then in a panic, I glance at Akali.

"Uhm, yeah. I enjoyed it as well. And-"

The footsteps draw closer very quickly as he throws his arm around me, "If it isn't my favorite roommate," then glancing at Akali his eyes widen, almost taken aback as he says, "Wow..."

"Hi," she lifts her hand into a wave.

"Hey," he then looks at me with a furrowed brow, "I mean I did ask to hang out tonight but you could have at least said you were going to meet with someone this hot. Are you two... or am I just looking at this the wrong way."

I glance at her as she notices the cry for help in my gaze, I have no words to address this situation.

She then says with a plain smile, "Just getting to know each other a little bit."

He then turns to her fully, "How'd my boy do?"

"Better than most would ever do," she glances at me briefly.

He then throws his arm around my shoulder, "Been holding out on me haven't you," then letting go as he hits me on the shoulder, "I'll leave you two to it. Oh," then looking back at her, "Gorgeous by the way and I am a huge fan."

She smiles as he returns back to the person he was walking with.

I then sigh as I then look at her, "You made it sound like we were dating."

"I panicked okay?"

"Panicked? Isn't thinking on your feet kind of the single most important requirement?!"

She rolls her eyes with a chuckle, "No harm done, right? Is that the friend?"

I nod, "Been friends with him since high school. The extrovert that adopts the introvert kind of deal."

She twists her mouth to the side, "He... seams nice," then looking at me she notices, "Oh I am definitely not interested in him-"

"I didn't-"

She then coos, "Just making sure you know. People like him act like they are helping but don't realize that they just make it harder for you to do anything because all the attention is going to be on them anyway."

I then counter with a furrowed brow, "Won't the same happen with you?"

She then arches her brow, "Does he stay by your side and make the experience at least a little bit enjoyable?"

I don't answer.

She then smiles at me, "I am not saying he is a bad friend, I mean I can tell he genuinely cares about you and that is more than what you can ask for in a friend," then tilting her to the side, narrowing her eyes as if thinking about something, "About making it look like we are dating, you don't have to worry."

"I just deny it completely?"

"If you want to, but I'd rather ignore it and let it play with their minds. They don't need to know the truth, do they?" then with a chuckle, "Unless you tell everyone you are dating me then it will eventually reach media and you will be swarmed by the press."

"On one hand I am dating Akali but lose all my privacy, and on the other I am not."

"Hmm," she then giggles, "The other definitely sounds a lot better," then pulling her helmet over her head, she lifts the visor, "Was fun. Don't ghost me afterward okay?"

"I won't."

"We are friends right?" I nod with a smile, "Good. Are you fine walking home or do you want a ride? I don't have a helmet so we have to hope we don't run into the cops."

"I can walk," I dig one hand in my pocket and lift the other to wave, "Goodbye."

"I'll text or call you," then lowering her visor as she starts the engine.

***   Akali POV   ***

I reach home, the lights are off which means Ahri is out meeting with Eve or Kai'Sa. I then head straight to the shower, tossing my keys and helmet on my bed as I start undressing. In the shower, I let out a long sigh as I stare at the ceiling.

That went better than I thought. Kid is kind of cute, but the breaking himself down part is pretty sad and probably his biggest problem. Might be because of the whole mentality 'they can't break me down if I already did'.

Must mean there are some assholes in college.

I don't like his friend at all. Something feels off about him but that might just be first impressions being pretty bad - is he the type of friend that is supposed to build you up but instead does the opposite?

I hope my 'quick' thinking doesn't complicate things otherwise I will have to take responsibility for being an idiot. In truth, he is the complete opposite of what people would think I would usually date so I doubt they would look into it.

Then with a smile on my face - I am pretty high on his celebrity crushes~

Then letting it fade as I furrow my brow at myself - what are you doing Akali? Acting like that is strange.

Hmm, maybe I actually enjoy this change of pace a little bit to much.
