We are fated? I chuckle to myself. A month into my new... well not really new life seeing as nothing changed. But a month into it and her words are just stuck in my head like a silly little child hearing his favourite words.

I tap the table in the library while I work on my projects, despite the need for securing my career is kind of pointless considering I am not going to be the primary earner I do kind of need to make sure I have something to fall back on in the case of Akali decided she is sick of me.

"Yo." I glance over my screen to see Grace has plopped down in the opposite seat.

"Hey."

"Whatchu busy with?"

"The project that we were given a week ago."

"Already?"

I nod slowly. "It is up there with being done with it as soon as possible without having to worry about it in the coming months but also having that issue where you and Gregory come to ask me about it."

She sighs. "I hate these projects, shit doesn't make sense half of the time."

"Welcome to programming. Half of the time I just google what I am supposed to do." I rub my eyes out before saving my progress and closing the laptop. "What's up?"

She crosses her arms. "How are you and your girl~?" I narrow my eyes at her. "Come on, I am genuinely curious because everyone knows you are dating a popstar and seeing as I can claim friendship status because you friend-zoned me first, I am not trying to find ways to get in between you two. I honestly can't compete."

I crack a slight smile. "We are fine.  Actually better than fine, she wants me to meet up with the rest of K/DA which I have been actively avoiding and it is getting on her nerves."

"Right right. The social anxiety issues."

"More like being judged by people. Kind of don't like that."

"Hmmm." She narrows her eyes. "So? You and Conrad make up yet?"

"Please stop." I pull out my phone.

"You two were such good friends-"

"And you didn't give a shit about him, hated him even."

She crosses her arms, twisting her lips to the side. "Just talk to the kid. Nothing bad can happen from just talking to him and hearing what he has to say because ever since then I am his new best friend and he has been asking me about you like an obsessed puppy."

"Aer you sure you aren't just making it up?"

"I am exagerating a bit. Yes."

I shake my head at her. "To what end?"

"You can be friends again, I mean he stuck with you when most wouldn't. Does all of that just slip away?"

"I can't trust him-"

"Don't have to trust him. You can at least give him a chance to make it up to you in whatever way he thinks he can, right?" She smiles at me. I pull my gaze away from her wondering if this is even a good idea.

"I'll think about it."

"Thanks."

I see Gregory and Toby approach us, I pack my laptop away as the two of them slide next to the table breaking into the conversation. I don't pay any attention to them because a lot of people aren't exactly fond of me.

Others have been a bit nicer, others just don't give a shit. The rest just annoy me to no end so I'd rather not deal with them at all.

"Talking to you, know that?"
