It is about that time again where I rearrange my room but not out of my own choice but more to make room for Akali's things. I mean we were still in the middle of deciding if she should just stay at Ahri's place but Ahri herself asked when she was going to move out.
Guess rushing it isn't a real issue anymore seeing as we have no choice. She offered to stay in a hotel but I'd rather her stay here than go the extra mile for no reason.
She breathes out, "Lucky that you stole the biggest bedroom for yourself."
"I mean most of the space was being taken up by pc parts that I eventually moved outside, this room was a mess a while back," then with a huff, I drop down under my table to start working on the cables.
"I don't believe you," I watch her as she drops down at the edge of the bed watching me, "Are you enjoying yourself down there?"
"Cable management," I state, "Nothing as painful as having to tug at each cord till you find the right one," I return my focus back to it.
I finished up with pretty much most of it, then lifting myself the two of us had to fetch another table for her to make her workstation - luckily we have extra because I bought for Conrad seeing as he might need it but he never used it.
"I know you don't really want to talk about it," she then starts to sit down her things as I clean out all the useless crap I tossed in my closet, "But about the talk earlier-"
"I am fine," I reassure her, "It probably won't be as bad other than people thinking they can walk over me but I have experience in that field so I can pretty much handle myself."
"By tucking your head between your shoulders?"
"I mean... yeah?"
She giggles, "That is definitely not what I had in mind but sure, but as long as you are fine. Ahri said that they don't know the address of your home so they won't be bothering you. I just need to make sure I don't give it away."
I nod, then throw things I don't wear in a basket along with other trinkets in a little box to take to the storage. The clothes I might just give away seeing as I have no point for them. I look at her as she is readying her workstation.
The worst part is I have done cable management pretty much forever and just seeing the cables hang behind the table is triggering something inside of me. I will fix that up for her later, she sets down the last few of her things.
I must have some slither of luck to have her, I mean I am a complete mess when it comes to a lot of things - right now I just want to walk up and hug her but... the thought makes me anxious for some odd reason.
I remind myself that she said that she doesn't care if I wanted to touch her, to kiss her.
"I am starting to see why you wasted ten minutes managing cables."
"Wasted?"
"Yeah, it looks terrible out of place."
"No that isn't why I... never mind," I then grab the box as she spins around to face me, "Where do those go?"
"I am taking it to storage for now," she then slides over grabbing the basket full of clothes, "Are you a hoarder?"
"Hardly," I chuckle, "Just need to get out to buy new clothes seeing as most of those either don't fit or I just didn't want to wear them."
We start walking through the house as she says, "So you are definitely taking me with you when we do that, right?"
"Sure."
"Awesome," something tells me she is somehow going to find a real kick out of it, "Nothing would make me happier to think I have had input in the way you dress."
"I mean-"
"Don't worry I won't force you to wear things you wouldn't wear," she nudges against me, I open the slide doors as we head straight for the storage.
I drop the box on my foot as I open the door, she slides in past me as I switch on the light and take the box to the back, "Just sit that down anywhere."
"This place has a lot of stuff in it," she looks around, "What is in these?"
"They are mostly mine," I state, "I have a lot of old parts and new parts laying around to practice some computer engineering. Some of these boxes and decorations aren't ours but the previous owner said we could keep them."
She drops it down pushing it into the corner with her foot, then stretching her arms behind her back as she yawns. Blinking rapidly she flashes me an endearing smile, I return it on instinct as she gestures for the door.
"It is stuffy in here, let's get back to cleaning the room and finishing up."
I then walk out with her, then quickly hopping back in to turn off the light and shut the door, "You want to take a little break?"
"Do YOU want to take a break?"
"Just for a bit," she nods as we both head back into the house.
She walks to the TV as I decide to get us something to drink. Standing with her back towards me, we both ended up dressing comfortably for the sake of knowing we would move around quite a bit.
She is pretty toned, but I definitely don't mind. I walk over setting both glasses down on the coffee table as I force my hands around her waist despite almost stopping myself to decide if I should or not.
She steps backward, lifting her head to meet me as she presses her lips against my cheek, "Look at you taking initiative."
"I mean... I wanted to back in the room but-"
She arches her brow at me, "I don't bite unless you want me to," she winks at me, "I don't think this is the place to do it though seeing as Conrad is home soon. So you should have made your move to our room."
"Huh?" I furrow my brow at her
She snorts in response, "Relax there will be a time for that."
"I just wanted to hug you," I say awkwardly realizing that my way with words needs some tuning.
"You don't need permission," she then drops the remote on the table as she grabs me by the fingers leading me to the couch, we both drop down as she rests her head against my shoulder.
"I know... I'll work on it."
"Take your time," she smiles at me, "We still have plenty of time, we hardly had time to explore each other's worlds. There is still so much for either of us to learn and I hope I get to experience it all."
"I am happy either way," she searches for my hand, interlacing the finger as over mine as she leads it to her thigh, "Despite everything that might go wrong, I'd rather focus on that."
The door slams open as Conrad yells out, "I am home get dressed quickly!"
Akali rolls her eyes, she flashes me a smile as she lifts herself to her knees, "I was just starting to enjoy the quiet."
I lift my hand, "Hey."
"At least one of you cares about me," he sniffles, "Looks like the two of you already pretty much claimed the living room, is this a sign for me to just leave and come back in two minutes?"
"Funny," she says with a straight face.
I then sling my arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me, she rests her hand on my shoulder, "Don't engage him, he might just get under your skin."
"Why have I turned into the villain!?"
She lowers herself back down beside me, she ignores him, "Mind helping me spruce my workstation up a bit? Would rather have it done now."
I nod, "Can do."
