CHAPTER 12

HIM

"What? Why me?"

"Pleaseeee, sige na Sky!" Paawa ni Senia. I didn't say anything, looking away. She nudges my shoulder, making me face her, "Skyyyyy, please my good friend, please!"

I hesitated, should I really do it though? And 'Bat ako pa? May iba pa naman na mas magaling kumanta sa club namin kesa sa akin ah.

"I'm desperate Sky, please I'll do anything, just perform at the cultural night, please." I looked at her with narrowed eyes. Anything?

"Hm? Ansabe mo?"

"I'll do anything you ask, basta mag-perform ka, last day naman yun eh." Ohh, an opportunity I cannot lose.

Heh.

"Fine, I'll do it."

"Omg, thank youuu!!! Don't worry, tutulungan ko naman kayo sa preparation."

Besides, it's not that bad... plus owing Sen a favor is something rare. It's not always that you could ask her anything that she would agree to do.

"Okay, basta ah, wala bawi-an ng deal natin ah. You'll do anything I ask, right?"

"Yeah yeah, basta it should be something I will be able to do."

"Hmm, alright."

"Well, I have to go, meet you guys later!" I watched her disappear down the hall. I walked back to the classroom with a heavy sigh.

Ah, I should start choosing a song... Ano pwede kaya?

"Sky, pwede pa sama sa bookstore?" Alexa said, napatingin ako sa kanya.

I recalled what happened after that incident. It was the worst week I've ever experienced- oh wait, I suddenly remembered it was the second time it happened, although, this time hindi na one-sided sa part ko.

Alexa, too, felt awkward... I mean considering that it's our first- Oh God, we already swore to just forget about it pero here I am, thinking about it...

Anyway, by the following week, surprisingly, Alexa had talked to me first. Knowing that she was the one who really avoided interaction at the span of the previous week- escaping lunch and staying at the library- It was so obvious that she was avoiding awkward and uncomfortable situations... the others had even asked me what happened but I refused to talk...

I am totally not gonna talk about it to the others, they're obviously gonna tease us and I can't stand being the subject of the teasing. I remembered how she walked up to me in the staff room...

"...Sky?" I froze from putting back the mop in the cabinet and turned my head around on the door of the staff room, stunned to see Alexandra and I saw how her gaze nervously darted around the room.

"A-Alex?" As she realized I acknowledged her, she chuckled nervously, hands behind her back and she seemed to shuffle on her feet, looking up and contemplating. I didn't know what to say, so I only waited and stared at her. She paused, finally making a choice.

"Uh... I think... it's time to address this..." she motions her hands trying to explain the words that can only describe us as of this moment.

"Oh.. um, yeah?" With a shaky chuckle and eyes still seemed to be looking away from me, mouth gaping open and close. Somehow that made me smile, finding the action cute.

"Y-you... w-we- ugh, why is this so hard to bring up..." I can't help but chuckle at her defeat.

"Seems that you were also bothered by the 'incident'..." I said, quoting the incident and cocking a brow up, still staring at her. Too bad, she still refuses to look at me...
