"Tell me again why we can't go training today?" Thor asked as we walked together to the waterfall. I had asked him to go with me so we could spend some time together.
We had been so busy with the preparations for his coronation that I didn't see him since the dinner feast, which was four days ago. The coronation was tomorrow. It was something that Thor wouldn't stop talking about. So, that's why I wanted to take him to the waterfall so that we could spend some time together away from the palace and enjoy each other's company. Of course, that also meant we would be taking time out of our training.
"I told you why," I said to him. I wrapped my arm around his and leaned against it. "I just want to spend time with my handsome fiancé. We train every single day. There's nothing wrong with us having one day of not doing it. You will be just as powerful as you were the day before."
"Strong and powerful as yesterday whereas I could be stronger than yesterday if we trained today," Thor noted boldly.
I grasped his hands, looking into his eyes. "My love, please. Can we just have this small amount of time together? That's not too much of me to ask, is it?"
Thor smiled softly, placing his hands on my cheeks. "I'm sorry, my love. I shouldn't neglect this time we have together." He kissed me on the forehead sweetly and wrapped me in his arms.
"There's no wars or enemies trying to wage one on our world, Thor. We can have one small piece of time to ourselves." I said as I pulled away to caress his cheek. "It will make me very happy to spend this time with you."
"And you shall have it," Thor said as he kissed my hand. "Shall we continue our stroll?"
When Thor and I reached the waterfall, we sat down close to the water. As we talked, Thor laid his head on my lap. I brushed my fingers along his hair as he talked about something funny the Warriors Three did. Eventually, I picked wildflowers and placed them randomly into his hair and even braided a few sections. Thor scoffed at what I was doing but allowed me to continue because he loved the sensation of my fingers running along his hair.
I decided to lie down next to him as I read from a poetry book that I brought with me. Thor would listen to me read the poetry as he stretched his arm out to have me lie down on it as a cushion. It wasn't much of a cushion due to his muscles, but I snuggled closer to his chest so that I was a bit comfier.
I sat up and placed the book on the ground and propped myself up with my arms as I continued to read the poetry. Thor turned over to prop himself up as well as he watched me read. He moved a section of my hair away from my face. He leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, but started trailing his lips down lower until they moved to the crook of my neck. I giggled and moved away from him as I continued to read, but he moved closer to me to kiss my neck again. Having enough of me moving away, Thor grasped onto my waist and pulled me towards him, making me laugh.
I laid down on the ground as he gazed down at me. He caressed my cheek and moved down until his fingers were under my chin. He pulled me forward a bit as he leaned the rest of the way down to capture my lips. My hands moved up his chest until they reached the nape of his neck. As the kiss deepened, I felt his hand glide down to my waist to pull me forward as his other arm snaked under my back so that I could be pressed against him. Heat radiated through my body as our passion grew. My heart was beating wildly as my hand glided down to his cheek.
"Thor? Ravenna?" A voice said, making me groan against Thor's lips. Even Thor was angry about the intrusion. He sat up and glared at Loki. "Ah, there you are! My, Brother, I have never seen your cheeks so flushed before. Are you alright?"
"What is it you want, Loki? Lady Ravenna and I were in the middle of something."
"I'm sure you were and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are expected at the palace. Mother and Father want to do a final rehearsal for your ceremony tomorrow."
