With a final push of my power, the doors broke away from the hinges. With one step, my legs gave out. My surroundings seemed unbalanced. I placed my hand on my forehead as I tried to focus. The sound of heavy footsteps turned the corner and immediately went over to me to help me up. I accepted their help and stood up. I looked around to see ten guards surrounding me.

"Milady, Frost Giants have invaded the palace," the guard informed me.

"Where is Laufey now?"

"He broke through the palace gates not too long ago."

"And Loki?"

"We haven't seen him, Milady."

Finding the strength to carry on, I held my sword tightly. "Three of you, follow me. We must protect Allfather and the Queen. I want two guards to stand by my father's chambers. The rest I want you to protect the people."

I walked with the three guards behind me as I led the way to Odin's chambers. As I turned the corner, three Frost Giants appeared. The Frost Giants stormed over to us with their ice swords in the air. I moved to attack the center one while the three guards behind me fought the other two. My movements were slower than usual because of my weakened state, but I needed to get to Odin and Frigga. I couldn't fail them. I slashed at the Frost Giant, cutting down his arm, and driving my sword into his chest. When I looked up, another Frost Giant approached me.

As he lunged toward me, ice was created to form a sword, but I quickly dodged it. I struck my sword against his ice sword, blocking his attacks. The sound of one of the men crying out in pain made me look, distracting me for a moment. That briefest moment caused the Frost Giant to kick me down. I skidded down the floor, slamming into the column. Looking up, the Frost Giant raised his ice sword toward me.

The sound of something soaring through the air made the Frost Giant stop to look where the source of the sound was coming from The Frost Giant was thrown to the side as the object slammed into it. The object glided back, making my eyes follow it.

There Thor stood, glaring at the Frost Giant. His armor was back with his red cape behind him, grasping the hammer tightly. Thrusting his hammer forward, a lightning blast struck the Frost Giant, killing it.

"Thor," I sighed in relief as he made his way over to me. He helped me up, hugging me. I embraced him tightly. I moved away to see that we were the only ones. "Where are the others? Are they alright?"

"They're taking Heimdall to the healing room," Thor replied. "They told me that this was all Loki's doing."

"Yes," I answered. "Thor, he's behind all of this. He ruined the coronation to stop you from becoming king. He's...he's Laufey's son."

Thor's eyes widened. "What?"

"He's Laufey's son. Loki admitted it to Laufey when I went to spy on him at Jotunheim."

Thor sneered, "He will pay for all the trouble he has caused." He moved away, placing his hand against my cheek. "Are you alright? You can barely stand."

"Loki put a spell to lock me in my room. I had to use a strong amount of my power to break free, but I'm fine now that you're here. We need to go. Laufey has plans to kill your father." I grasped his hand as we ran down the hall.

"Where is Loki now?" Thor questioned.

"I don't know," I answered him as we neared the entrance to Odin's chambers. In front of Odin's chamber doors were the body of guards.

A sound of an energy blast echoed through the hall, making Thor and I look at each other, assuming the worst.

"You saved him," we heard Frigga say as we stopped at the entrance of the chamber. Loki was hugging Frigga, two Jotun bodies were on the floor, Laufey was nowhere to be seen, and Odin was safe still in his bed unconscious. Loki pulled away, holding his mother's arm assuringly.
