The thing about family nights... well honesty most family nights involve laughter and happiness right? Well not ours, Our family nights involve a lot of quietness and awkward moments.

I sat at the very end of the table. On my right was Zach. Next to him was my step brother, Liam. Right next to Liam was my step father. Across from him was Leah and then my mom and Xavier right next to her.

The only talking you really heard was from my step father and mom. Sometimes Liam would ask me or Xavier something, Like how's school and what's new all that.

I looked at Leah. I always thought she was pretty. She has blonde wavy hair with blue eyes. Leah out of her two brothers is the only one who came out white. Her mom is white and she came out just like her mom, Honestly they could be twins. I can't imagine how hard it was to grow up with no mom, but since my mom got together with her dad. I can tell Leah looks up to my mom. I don't blame her I do too, always have. As much as I hate how my mom is always working I know she only does it to provide for us. She now has five kids to provide for. Two are in college and one will be attending college next fall.

I know my mom considers them as her own. She made sure of that. She even talked to all three to tell them saying she isn't trying to take their mother place. My mom gets along with Leah and Liam just fine,But for me and Xavier we do talk to our step father but not as much. The thing is he works a lot so we never really have time to bond with him.

As for Liam I think he looks like his dad. Well for the most part. I know he's studying to be a computer teacher while Leah studying to be a Art teacher. As for Xavier he's wants to be an engineer.

You can tell Liam takes his role being the oldest quite well. He's always so calm and making sure we're okay. I remember the day of my 13th birthday I had a pool party. It was my first boy and girl party, Liam would stay outside with us to make sure no one was touching each other and kept away from me.
When Xavier told me why he was outside the whole day. I went to Liam and hugged him.

"What was that for?" He asked.

I said. "Xavier told me why you were outside yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you."

He smiled at me and said: "Well, you are my little sister now. "

I smiled at the memory.

"Hey mom did Kim tell you how she's captain of the dance team?" I heard Xavier say.

Wait what?

I looked up to see everyone reaction. My mom choked on her water, my step dad and Liam stopped eating and looked at me. Both of them were smiling. I looked back at my mom. She had tears in her eyes because she knew just how much I love to dance.

"Honey that's amazing!" She got up and hugged me. I hugged her back.

"We have to celebrate." Liam said.

I smiled. "Well I do like the dessert here..."

"Desert it is!" My step father said.

I smiled.

I looked at Leah and saw how quiet she's been this whole time.

I wonder...

"So do you guys have any plans for summer break?" My mom asked Leah and Liam.

They both shook their heads.

"Well you know with you guys starting summer break and the two of you on break..." I looked at Xavier and Zach. "You're mom and I thought it would be nice to take time off of work." Said my step father.

My mom smiled. "I'm taking the whole summer off while your dad is taking a month off." None of us said anything we all were quiet for a minute.

"That's great!" Liam said.

"When does it start?" Leah finally spoke up.

"Right after Xavier graduation." My mom kissed Xavier side cheek.

Oh yeah, only two more weeks left of school. Which means I only have this week with Aaliyah.

On Friday night just hours after Aaliyah drifted asleep. I sat on the couch watching Toy Story on Disney channel. I wasn't home alone, I was left alone with Leah and Liam.

My mom took Xavier and Zach shopping for new clothes since they both graduate next week. The step dad spent most of his days working as much as he can since he only has a week before he's on vacation.

I hear my phone go off and get up looking for it. I found it under the couch. I looked at the caller ID and answered.

"Hello?"

"Bored?" Lucas asked.

"How did you..."

"You live right behind me remember?" I turn to my window and see Lucas on the phone. While Marcus and Christian wave.

"Creeps."

Lucas laughed. "Whatever, just come over."

I sighed. "That's to far."

"All you have to do is hop a gate."

"Yeah but I gotta grab shoes too."

"Then stay bored."

"Ugh fine, I'll be out in a sec."

"Alright."

We both hung up and I headed upstairs. I grabbed my black toms and walked downstairs where I saw Liam with Leah.

They looked up from making their sandwiches.

"Umm I'll be over there..." I pointed to Lucas and Marcus.

Liam looked out the window.

"Who are they?" Liam asked.

"Friends from school." I admitted. Liam nodded.

I opened the back porch and walked outside. I closed the door and walked toward the fence.

"Aye Kim!" Christian said.

"Sup." I said as I jumped over the fence.

"Wanna play some ball?" Christian asked.

I shrugged. "Why not?"

I took the ball from Marcus and started making free throws.

"Is that your step brother and sister?" Lucas asked.

I turn around and see Leah with Liam watching me through the window. When they noticed me they hid. I laughed but turned around to nod to my friends.

Hey:)

So I left school early... Literally an hour ago... Like two minutes before second period ended.

I felt like sheez so I had to leave. Its not fun being sick man😒

But now I'm at home in bed watching vampire dairies. I've seen this show up until season four? Like early season four. But then I got bored of it and stopped watching. So now I'm back watching it... 👀🙊🙈

I figured I would update sooo lemme know what y'all think 💁🏻

I'm gonna take a nap now... That's if I can stop coughing every damn second 😒

Why can't germs hate me? Why must I get sick?

Geez.
