I was now at home with my one month baby girl. Who wouldn't stop crying. I walked her around her room as I waited for my sister to get here. I heard a knock on the door. I walked out of Aaliyah room and answered the door. I saw Marcus with his mother. They came in quickly and her grandma took her and went to her room.

"You okay?" Marcus asked.

I nod. "She's been crying all morning."

"We know, Lucas told us to keep her company." Marcus said.

I smiled. "Do you want a drink?"

Ashes then appeared from behind me. She meowed at me.

I bent down. "I know your hungry, come on let's eat. Hershey!" I called out. He jumped down from the couch and we walked in the kitchen where I fed my other crying children. So needy.

I sighed. I'm so glad the house is clean right now.

"Marcus, do you want a drink?" I asked.

"Yeah, a soda please." He called out.

I noticed Aaliyah was finally quiet. I let out a sigh of relief. I giggled to myself. Silence finally! I poured Marcus drink in the soda and walked to the living room.

I gave it to Marcus and we both sat down. There was a knock on the door just as I say down. Leah.

"It's open!" I yelled out tiredly.

She opened the door and in she came with Brandon & Zach.

"Hey sorry we took awhile, we got stuck in traffic- oh hey Marcus." Leah said.

"Hey Leah, it's nice to see you again." He said smiling.

Leah smiled. "It's nice to see you too."

"Hey Zach." I said as he sat down.

"Hey Kim." He responded back happily. Obviously he was happy to see his two sisters in the room.

My phone started ringing so I grabbed from my pocket & saw it was a number I didn't know but had a Illinois area code. So I answered. Biggest mistake I made.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hi is this Kimberly Lopez?"

"This is, may I ask who's calling?" I asked while sitting up, suddenly catching interest.

"Kim it's your aunt... Lety. "

I jumped right up flying in the air. "Tia? H-how did you get my number?" I looked at my friends around me. They all stared at me confused.

"That doesn't matter, but Kim... How fast can you & Xavier fly out to Chicago?"

"Why? We're having a family reunion now? You guys haven't seen me or Xavier since my dad got locked up. You never answered out ca-"

"Kimberly! You're dad just passed." She said quietly.

I sat still. I completely just stared at the wall for a good two minutes.

"Kim?" My aunt said in the phone.

"W-what how?" I asked.

"Kim he's been jail for awhile... Let's not ask how..." Said my aunt. "Will you and Xavier please come to his funeral? He would want that..."

"I don't think I will.... Knowing Xavier he will... He's always been better at forgiving...um but tell my dad to rest in peace."

"Kim."

"Oh look my daughter crying, I-uh have to go."

"Kimberly!" I hung up.

Everyone stared at me. I'm not sure if it was shocked or disbelief. I just sat there and stared at the floor.
