I woke up the next morning to my puppy sleeping with Zeus in the same bed. It was so cute I couldn't help it but to take a picture and send it to Lucas. (Although I know he wouldn't answer since he's still sleeping.)

I smiled.

Yesterday was probably the best birthday I ever had. Probably right next to when I went Disney world for my ninth birthday.

I got a car before I got my license. But mom made sure I was only allowed to drive it until the day I get license or if Xavier, Leah or Liam were in the car with me. She even made sure I knew I couldn't drive with her thanks to Xavier long dramatic story's on how he almost died driving with me. So thanks bro.

Mom even talked to me about my new puppy. She made sure I knew my grades had to stay on track and do my chores around the house plus raise the two dogs.

"Just because you have your own dog doesn't mean your off the hook to raise Zeus." She said.

I patted my legs to call Zeus over. "I can never forget my Zeus." I said as he licked my face. I looked over at Hershey (yes I named him after the chocolate bar.) he was to busy hiding under the table.

"Aww baby," I crawled over to him Hershey. I held my arms out. "Come here." He looked up. He took one step my direction but stepped back. "No baby, no need to be scared."

Zeus was standing over me watching me get Hershey out. He growled. I turned my head to Zeus. "Nice Zeus, that's your cousin."

I felt my family and guest watch me as I dealt with this. Zeus barked at me. I stood up at him. "Don't give me an attitude!" Zeus barked. "Stop talking back!" Zeus cried. "No Zeus! You be nice!" Zeus barked once more. "Zeus go to bed! Now! "He cried and laid down. "No not on the floor! To your bed!" Zeus sat up and looked at me. He gave me those pleading eyes. "Bed now!"

Zeus walked to his bed and sat on it. "Lay down!" I yelled.

He laid down with a huff.

"Poor Zeus." I overheard Marcus say.

I laid on the ground & turned my attention to Hershey.

"Come here Hershey."

"Hershey?" Lucas asked.

"That's what I named him." I smiled so big making sure people saw my purple brace face.

I looked back at Hershey and saw he went more under the table.

I held my hand out so he could sniff it. But he didn't. "Come here baby, no one is going to hurt you."

He slowly walked by me but once again stepped back crying.

I looked around. I found a toy Zeus was playing with earlier. Zeus looked up and ran over by me snatching the toy out of my hand.

Everyone laughed as Zeus walked back to his bed with his toy in his mouth.

I glared at Zeus. "Alright fine! I'll let this one slide but only because that's your favorite!" I picked up another and Zeus came right back.

"No bed!" He cried but went back to his bed.

I bent back down and saw I had caught Hershey attention.

I squeezed the toy and out came a squeak. Hershey walked over by me.

"Oh you like that?" I did it once more and he came more out.

I stepped back and sat up. Hershey made his way out of the table and snatched the toy out of my hand and began playing with it.

I smiled.

"There you go." I said as his tail went up showing he was no longer scared.

I stood up. I looked over at Lucas who was eating chips. He looked at me and winked. I smiled.
