As I entered the building of the Middle School, I was greeted surprisingly by a bunch of normal human beings. I've never seen them before so I was confused on how I should act. Be less proper. Be more awkward. Got it. I had to check in at the front desk to get my schedule and home room for the year so that's where I headed first. "Hi, can I help you?." The lady being the desk asked. She was older than I expected. Grey hair with ugly glasses that had that string attached so it could hang from her neck like a necklace. "Yeah, I'm new here. Sariba Maslow.." I said nervously.

No one can know who my brother is, so hopefully no one connects the dots. He doesn't want the public knowing about anyone but Ali and Phillip and that's just because they've already made themselves very known. "Oh my! Of course. Here's your schedule and a map of the school. It's very easy to get lost. And your locker combination is on your schedule." She said way too cheerfully. "Yeah.. thanks." I said, and I went to find my first period.

Math. Why Math. Vampires don't need to know algebra and geometry. Anyways, when I got there, my teacher was shorter than me. She had greasy brown hair and big brown eyes and you could tell that she was one to yell at you in a microsecond. "How can I help you?" She asked sarcastically. "I'm Sariba. I'm new." I said rolling my eyes. This year is going to be so fun. "Okay, well, go sit next to Mia." I looked over and saw a girl with thick black hair and brown eyes waving at me. I could smell that she was my own kind but I didn't want to mention it.

"Hi Sariba! I'm Mia. It's nice to meet you. We're gonna be great friends." She said as she flashed me the biggest smile that almost exposed her fangs. It made me nervous. Did she know? She probably knew. "I'm sure we will." I said as I shook her hand. After that it wasn't anything exciting. It's Math. Adding, Subtracting. We just goofed around. I have to call my brother. I think we may have a problem.

"James. I think the Northern Princess goes to this school too! Malinda Akuchia." I said panicking. "What do I do?!"
"Okay.. calm down. I'm sure it's not the same Mia." He said chuckling. He's not taking me serious. Why does he never take me serious.
"No! It is. I could smell it. It's definitely her. What am I supposed to do?! She might know who I am!" I was almost in tears at this point. The Akuchias were a Northern family and they hated Southerns. Our Kingdom and Their Kingdom has been at war for over 200 years.
"Okay. Chill. She probably doesn't know. Just be her friend and play along to anything she says. She doesn't have her memory. They wiped it before she came here. She just knows what she is." He said calming me down. He always knew how to calm me down.
"Okay.. I can do this.. thanks James." I hung from him and went into the lunch room. Contrary to popular belief, thanks to Twilight.. we actually can eat human food but we do need blood as well. I just don't like drinking it. It has a metallic taste that I can't stand and it makes me sick. We also don't sparkle in the sunlight, but water and snow burns us.
"Hey! Sariba! Come sit with us!" Mia shouted from across the cafeteria. She was sitting with the Eastern Family, Scrubbans. Oh this should be fun. "Okay, sure why not." I said, walking over. I went over and sat down next to Mia.
"So, let me introduce you to my friends and my boyfriend." Mia said giddily while hopping in her seat. Little did she know that I already knew about them. "This is Roni, my boyfriend and Tom his older brother" She said pointing to two emo looking boys, one older looking than the other. "This is Ty and Silver. They're twins." She said as pointed to a ginger boy and a silver haired girl. "So is she called Silver because of her hair?" I asked snickering. "No." Mia laughed as Silver glared at me. Great, I already made an enemy.
"So can we let you in on a secret.. and you can't tell anyone." Roni whispered from across the table. "Um sure." I said uncertain. I didn't like where this was going at all. I just have to listen to my brother and play along. "We're vampires, and you're one too. I know because I turned you." Roni said seriously. I just looked at him blankly. I didn't even know what to say. He thinks he turned me? I have to play along with that? I'm Southern, not Eastern.
"What the hell do you mean, you turned me?" I asked, with venom in my voice. If I was gonna play along. I mind as well play along well. "Well, I went on a rampage, and bit you and two others. I finally found you, now I have to find your sisters. We have to train you." Roni said shrugging. Oh god.. what am I gonna do.
