Love me, Love me Not

Chapter 3

At Home:
"James! What am I gonna do?! They think I'm one of them!!" I screamed. He was walking away from me and ignoring the fact that I was in a crisis. This is all his fault. "If mom and dad were here.." I mumbled. "Well they're not! And they aren't going to be! I'm in charge of you. And I told you that you have to pretend. We need to know what goes on in that family." James said as he rolled his eyes, which by this point were a dark red with anger and frustration.
"Okay, and what happens when they find out that I don't need trained and that I already know how to use my powers?" I asked. I was becoming irritated. He couldn't understand and he wasn't trying to.
"Well.. you haven't found your element yet, have you?" My brother asked as he cocked his head to the side. My element? Not this again. I doubt I even have one. Every important vampire gains a power based off of the four elements. Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. I haven't found mine yet and no matter what my brother tells you, he hasn't either.
"No. I haven't. And Neither have you. I just see the stupid future." I pouted. "Sariba.. seeing the future is not stupid. It's a very helpful gift." James said as he sat down next to me. "And besides.. the Scrubbans can't know that you know how to see the future in the first place" He shrugged and got back up. This is annoying. "Whatever. I'll figure it out myself." I scoffed and went back to my room to get ready for another day.
At School:
I think I have a plan. I think. But he hates me. I mentioned Carlos before, because he's friends with James, but Carlos and I had a huge falling out and he's been trying to kill me since. Classic Werewolf/Vampire feud if you know what I mean. I'm thinking maybe if I stir up some drama with the Scrubbans and the Wolf Prince, they'll leave me alone. Or I could learn to love them. I'm really confused.
"Um.. Earth to Sariba." Mia said waving her hand in my face. She thinks we're best friends now, but I've literally only known her for a day. It's okay. Play along. "Hey.. sorry? What's up." I said shaking my head and looking at her. "I zoned out." Oh god. She's smirking at me. Why is she smirking at me. She knows something I don't.
"I know something you don't know" she cooed in my ear. I hate mind games so much. "Oh, and what is that princess.." I hissed. I was getting pissed. Mind games are not my thing. "Ty likes you. He wants you to be his girlfriend." She said smiling at me. What. Excuse me? What. Wouldn't that be weird. No, because I'm not actually a Scrubban.
"Oh? Than why isn't he telling me?" I asked laughing. She laughed and went ahead of me "He didn't say anything because he's extremely shy!" She laughed. "Oh well, I don't think my brother will approve anyways.." I said shaking my head. Than I knew I messed up. "What brother?" I heard Roni say from behind me. I winced as I turned around and looked up at him. He was confused and mad. Maybe he realized he was looking at the wrong person. "My brother.. he's human." I lied through my teeth. "Oh. Okay. What's his name." Roni asked. I guess he doesn't believe me. "James..." I said backing away.

So I messed up. I wasn't supposed to tell them. They know my brother is James Maslow, but they think he's human. That'll play out well. James is going to be so pissed. I'm just not going to tell him. Yeah, sounds good to me. A little white lie won't hurt.
