Chapter 5

Back Home:
"What do you mean they know?! Sariba, you weren't supposed to mention me at all!" My brother screamed, yelling at me. Yeah. He's mad. "I didn't mean to! I just said I had a brother and your name slipped.. I'm sorry." I said defending myself. He had every right to be mad at me. I could've cost us everything. "Not to mention.." he started. " you're dating one of them and you already have a fucking mate!" He screamed. I winced. I was trying to forget about that.

"Maybe I don't want to be mated to Carlos, James.. ever thought of that.." I sneered at him. Just because I was his imprint doesn't mean I'm obligated to love him. "Carlos is nothing but loving towards you.." James said. Great, he was calmer now that I was angry. That's always how it works. He'll do anything to prevent me from getting mad. "But his brothers are not! Javi tried to kill me, remember!" I shouted. I remember clear as day. I went over to hang out with Carlos and Antonio, and Javi shifted and grabbed me by the neck and dragged me. Carlos saved me, but I'll never go back.

"He didn't know who you were.." James whispered. Now he was guilty. As he should be. He knew better than to bring it up. "Anyways, I figured out that the Scrubbans took custody of two newborns, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan. I also found out that the lost prince of the north was Louis and he has no recollection of even being the prince and Harry is one of Mia's older brothers." I said, changing the subject. James just looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "So.. One Direction is all vampires." He chuckled. "Everyone except Liam I guess, he's the only one not being mentioned." I shrugged. "But now we have to hunt all of them down and explain to them why they feel the way they do. Otherwise you know as well as I do, they'll get killed." I continued. The Vampire has a government with very strict laws. Newborns have to know what they are within a certain period of time, or they'll be executed. It's a bit of a stretch and exaggeration if you ask me, but they don't care what I think.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a white claw out of the fridge to drink and looked at James. "Look, Ty isn't all that bad, and Carlos already tried to warn me, and I'm going to tell you the same thing I told him.. how bad could they hurt me?" I shrugged as I chugged my white claw. James stood in the doorway watching me with dread before he walked away to go to bed for the night. I guess he gave up, and I won the argument. Oh well, I got in my pajamas and went to bed for the night because tomorrow, started the search for the one direction newbies.

The Next Day:
I was walking down the dim lit halls of the Middle School when I smelt Mia approaching me. Her scent was a mixture of grass and lilac perfume. She didn't know that I wasn't a newbie yet, so she didn't realize my senses were already heightened. "Hey Sariba! Did I scare you!" She screamed as she popped up in front of me. I fake gasped and acted scared to humor her. "Oh my god Mia, I didn't even see you coming. Don't do that!" I whispered. I'm literally so fake. I hate it.

This Middle School that James has me going to is especially low class for me. It's separated by grade. 6th graders can't associate 7th graders, and 7th graders can't associate with 8th graders. There is no air conditioning so there's industrial fans every other corner. I can't believe Humans are okay with living like this. Mia and Ty were walking beside me on our way to class when the topic of the boys came up. "How are we going to find them?" Ty questioned. Good point I guess. I just simply shrugged. I couldn't offer the help that I might be able to give. They couldn't know my sources. "Well they all have to be in England somewhere so that's a start." Mia said. I looked at her like she was crazy. "You want us to search all of England for four boys?" I asked Incredibly. She was absolutely bonkers.

I can't go to England. I'm supposed to stay here. I was specifically told to stay here. My mind was having battles with itself so when i was disassociating right in-front of Mia and Ty while they looked at me expecting to say something else, expecting to agree or disagree. I've never been that far in the human world before, can I run across the ocean? Or do I teleport? Or do I take a portal? I'm 76.. I should have the answers to this. "I don't.. really think that's a good idea." I said after I had a really long pause. I looked at them with uncertainty and I knew automatically they were gonna push me until I agreed. The pleading looks they were giving me was my indication of how this argument was going to go. "We have to! I turned Zayn and Silver turned Niall! We need to find them. Don't be heartless!" Mia shouted at me.

I gasped so loud everyone around us stopped and looked for a second before they continued heading to their classes. I stopped in my tracks and closed my eyes as I tried to control the anger that was boiling inside me. Heartless? I'm far from heartless. "Malinda.. I'm not being heartless.." I snarled quietly. Ty backed away from both of us as he knew the situation was getting heated. "I..I'm gonna go to my class, I'll talk t..to you guys later." Ty said as he ran away to go to his class. I glared daggers at Mia as she glared the same daggers at me. "You are being heartless Sariba." She snarled back. I'm heartless because I don't think it's okay to chase 4 boys in a whole different country. Fine, we'll have it her way. "Fine, Princess, we'll do it your way, but if any trouble comes about, it's all on you." I said as I held my index finger in her face. She glared at me and I sharply turned around and walked away. I wasn't dealing with this. I'm not going to let some spoiled princess call me heartless. We'll get these boys, than I'm out.
