Chapter 13

Everything has changed since Sariba had left our group. Roni had disowned her, after Ty's death. Completely blaming her for the wolves attack, not even acknowledging the mental trauma being with Carlos had put her through. Scarlet, Lex and Tulusia aged fairly quickly because they were all pure blood, so even though they were all only about 2 years old, they looked to be about sixteen. Andres was now married to Silver, and James was engaged to Marti. Sariba knew this though. Griffin kept her in the loop on almost everything.
It also turns out that Tulusia was a god. She was the new cosmos. Goddess of all things good, and Scarlet and Lex were to be her guardians along with their cousin Gabe, who was Klaus' and Silvers son that they abandoned long ago. Scarlet had found her element but was failing to learn to control it, like her mother, she had the fire element. But when she was emotionally distressed, her whole body would burst into flames and burn anyone who would be close
To her. Lex was starting to practice witchcraft behind her mothers back, learning to make potions, and how to levitate. Lex was the only one out of the two daughters who had inherited Mia's mindness powers.
Little did everyone know, Sariba would be returning much more sooner than they all thought. And none of them actually wanted her to. Not even her brother, who didn't actually hate her, but just wanted to simply be happy. Even though sometimes his rage got the best of him and he got a little bit aggressive towards his partner and her children. But it wasn't who Sariba was seeking, rather it was who was seeking Sariba.
As it turns out, Klaus hadn't come around to see his best friend at all, but rather he'd heard stories of the Southern girl who tore apart the Scrubbans self confidence. He heard her story from his older brother, whom was friends with her older brother. Now Klaus wanted to meet this young vampire and see if she was really as bad and tough as he was told, or if it was just one big fake act to please everyone. He wanted to know if she was a tiny afraid little girl on the instead, screaming to get out. But she saw him coming, as she could in fact see the future, and she was prepared. Griffin, and Justin had both tried to warn her, while her youngest cousin Carter remained as clueless as he always does.

They told her how devious Klaus was, how bad he could get. But she wouldn't listen, and until she met him herself, she wouldn't listen. She got her stubbornness from James, and her hotheadedness from Griffin. She wouldn't back down from any fight. This worried the three boys as they knew how she was, but she had many secrets, and Klaus would use these secrets against her in a heartbeat. That was his power. He knew everything, about everyone. Even the tiniest things. Even Tom Scrubban was terrified of him, and Tom was the toughest of the family.

But Sariba would regret her decision, and she would walk away like a dog with its tail in between their legs. And her cousins would end up picking up the pieces of her broken soul.
