Sariba sat in the lounge with Niall on one side of her, and Louis on the other. Niall had boughten Nandos for everyone in hopes to brighten the young vampires mood, but to no avail she had refused to eat the chicken bought for her. Louis was beside her continuously poking her cheek, trying to get her to smile. Sariba cracked a small grin, exposing her dimples causing Louis to smile. "I see a little smile.. come on Sariba laugh." Louis said as he continued poking her. Niall began to tickle her stomach and she began laughing as the two boys messed with her, allowed her to be distracted for the moment. Zayn and Harry stood at the other end of the room looking over at the girl who was clearly pained by her brothers disappearance. "I know you don't like her.. but I don't understand why." Zayn said looking over at the prince beside him. Harry shook his head and sighed while looking at the southern who was finally smiling and laughing while the two boys amused her. "I thought she was eastern when I met her, because she had their scent.. but I was wrong. I've always told my siblings they were too good to hang out with Easterns, but I didn't realize that Sariba was southern royalty." Harry said with little regret behind his eyes.
"So basically, you owe her an apology for the coldness you've been giving her." Zayn said giving his friend a look. Harry looked at him and rolled his eyes, but nodded. "It doesn't change the fact that she is technically the mate of Carlos.. whether she refuses to be with him or not." Harry said roughly. Zayn raised an eyebrow of confusion at the curly haired boy, not knowing what he was talking about. It was known that Sariba was currently involved with Klaus, so wouldn't the imprint with Carlos be void. "Just because she's dating other people, and he is married to a Scrubban, doesn't change their true destiny. They will always be attracted to one another, and they'll always need one another in their lives." Harry said, almost reading Zayns mind answering his question. Zayn nodded, acknowledging that he understood the circumstances.
Both boys became alert when there was a knock on their door. Louis was about to get up to answer it, but Harry shook his head telling him to keep Sariba distracted. Harry went over to answer the door, Zayn behind him and when they opened the door, they were in shock. They saw James standing on the other side of the door, with young Tulusia beside him slightly miserable that she would have to see her father for even a slight second. Zayn shut the door in the two vampires face, while Harry looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "We thought they were dead..how's she going to react when she realizes.." Zayn started, but Harry stopped him mid speech. "She deserves to know her brother is alive.. it'll probably make her feel a ton better." Harry opened the door back up, to reveal a frustrated looking James. He allowed him and Tulusia to come in.
"Can you tell Niall to leave please.. she doesn't want to see her father." James said with a tight voice. Harry shook his head and chuckled. "This is our house.. you shouldn't have brought her if she didn't want to see him." Harry argued, but James just sighed in defeat and quietly apologized to his step daughter. As soon as Sariba caught a whiff of her brothers scent, she pushed Louis off of her and followed his scent into the next room. "Hey Sar.." James said quietly as he met eye contact with her. She immediately burst into tears and ran into his arms crying. He held her tight allowing her to let all of her feelings out, knowing how much she feared his death. Niall and Louis followed the girl and slightly smiled at the brother and sister hugging, before Niall made eye contact with his now teenage daughter.
His facial expression turned hard before he spoke. "You look like me.." He said roughly to the young girl, who just scoffed at him. "You have nerve talking to me after you abandoned us." Tulusia said with venom in her voice. Niall winced at his daughters tone but knew she was right. "Where's your mother." Niall asked simply, still clearly in love with the girl he left behind. James stepped in front of the small blonde girl, before glaring at the blonde Irish boy. "Don't talk to her, and Marti is gone." James said his voice cracking at mentioning his wives death. Niall took a sharp intake of breath, before dashing out of the house to get away from the current situation in front of him. James turned around meeting the eyes of his sister and step daughter and hugged them both. "Lets go home girls.." He said softly before grabbing both of their hands, and leaving, not before Sariba could wave goodbye to the boys who helped keep her happy.
