Lyle's PoV
I no longer see her presence here. Where is she? I want to be with her, and that's the truth. It feels so unfair when she ignores me and I can't do the same thing the way she treated me.
As I close my eyes again for it was early in the morning, I heard the door swing open.
"Get up" I heard her.
"Where were you all this time?" I asked.
"I slept in Cueva's room" she answered casually."What do you want for breakfast?" She asked as she spread the curtains to let the sun face my face. I slightly close my eyes to what she did.
"Now get up" she demanded. I stand still and hug her.
"Good morning" I softly said. I am confident in everything because I still have a fresh breath every morning.
"Don't touch me. Cueva likes you to join on their strolling but I opposed. They're going to the mall, kasama si East," she said.
"You?" I asked.
"Aalis. Mainit sila sa'kin. And it would be better if we'll go together, para mabuhay ka ng matagal. Alam kong nasa piligro ka din."
Together? Kaming dalawa lang?
"Right now? Wait, I'll go get changed"
I'm excited. Yes!
"I'll wait in the car," said in her husky yet girly voice.
It's been a long year. I can finally solo her. I can't stop smirking about what I thought.
I saw her waiting. Playing her car key.
"Pagdali!" She's shouted. Okay, I didn't see that coming.
***
"Seriously, 'yan lang dadalhin mo?" Tanong niya. Saan ba kami pupunta? I am just too excited kaya hindi madami ang damit na dinala ko.
Binuksan na niya yung trunk door at nilagay bag ko. Maleta? Bakit maleta dala niya? Magtatagal pala kami doon. I can't wait to be with her 24/7.
"If you're expecting me to go with your trippings, not gonna happen. Sinama kita dahil alam kung pupuntaryahin ka nila" walang ganang sabi niya habang nilalaro yung pistolang nasa kamay niya ngayon.
"Ako na mag-drive" I insisted.
"I.Can.Drive. This isn't your car. I have my driver's license-"
"Hindi na expired?" Sapaw ko.
"Hindi na.Kaka-renew pa lang, may nagbago-" she stopped.
"Nagbago, what?"
I have this feeling na may nagbago nga talaga. Hahaha. ALASKA.
"Nagbago ang alin, Alaska? What do you mean sa nagbago?" tanong ko ulit. Gusto ko siyang mahuli.
"Where is it? Making sure na hindi na talaga expired." She didn't move. As if I did something na ikakatakot niya o IKINAKAHIYA na ipakita sa'kin. "Show me" I requested. As if magagalit ako, hindi. Maging masaya pa ako.
"You can't just force me to show my driver's license to you. Ano ka, apo ni Marcos?" I got surprised by what she said in defensive tone. She's being pilosopo na. Sabi ko na nga ba, she's still the Alaska I knew. Some of it changed but she remains what she is.
"What did you say?" I wanted to say that again. I grinned.
"Stop smirking" seryoso na naman siya.
"Sakay" utos niya.
"Ayokong sumakay, unless you'll show me your non-expired driver's license" Hamon ko sa kanya.
"Mamatay ka d'yan" sabi niya at pumasok. Pumasok na din ako sa loob. Ang agang umalis ni East at Cueva. They didn't even say goodbye to me.
