GLEE — HELL - O
Mason entered the Ray house, holding two bags of Chinese closely followed by Charlie who came in with a bag of soft drinks to restock the fridge. He took the bags into the kitchen and plated up Holden's, before he did his own taking the two plates into the living room where a movie was ready to begin playing. Captain America: The Winter Soilder. Elara came in with her plate and Quinn's and took the love seat where Charlie soon joined after grabbing glasses, and getting his plate which he plated up in the room.
The family, because that was what is was watched the film, and just enjoyed being in each other's company. After it was finished and the plates had been taken through, Mason stayed sat with Holden curled into him and his hand on her bump. Where he could feel the baby moving, and then kicking.
"Mase," Charlie said and said boy turned to the closest thing he had to a dad, "we have something to show you." He said and Charlie nodded getting up, and following the entire Ray family (including Quinn) upstairs. They went to where Holden's room was and they opened the one right next door.
Showing him the nursery that had been set up for his son, it was large and open and also had a woodland nature feel too it. The wall where his crib was, was a green and Mason smiled at the wooden name mural, spelling out Asher.
The name he picked for his son.
Mason slowly walked in and his heart picked up, he was so ready to be a dad. Holden walked up to him and took his hand, squeezing gently "I love it" he whispers and she sent him a watery smile which he pecked softly.
"There's more," she whispered and led him to the room on the other side that he knew was a guest room. Quinn opened the door and he walked in freezing, "is this?"
"For you honey," Elara said softly, "me and Charlie have been speaking to Aspen, she's signed your guardianship over to us. And you both will be moving in here for the foreseeable future, your mom is having one of the guest rooms downstairs."
"I thought I'd have to go to Paris and miss seeing my son grow up," Mason admitted and Elara bought him in for a motherly hug, "we never would have let that happen. You have been a member of our family, since before Asher. We weren't ever going to lose you son," she spoke softly and he broke down in tears. It was one thing Holden had always admired about Mason, he was always open with his emotions and wasn't afraid to cry ever.
"If you want to change anything about the room, tell us" Charlie said and Mason stepped out of the hug Elara was giving him, and observed the room "it's also perfect. Thank you," he said and Charlie bought him in for a quick hug.
"You're our family Mase," Charlie said and let Holden have her hug with her best friend, that Quinn soon joined. She had grown to be a sister for Mason and him her brother.
Glee clubs assignment for the week was finding a new hello, and Holden decided she would perform. Niall was the first to perform and he did, 'Hello' by Oasis. Finn chose to sing 'Hello My Love' by Westlife which he sang to Quinn.
Rachel followed with a performance of 'Give you Hell' which was good but confused the living daylights out of Holden as Rachel seemed to be singing about someone but wasn't making exactly who clear.
At the next glee practice, Mr Schue asked for anymore performances "um- I prepared something" Holden said hesitantly seen as it would be only the second time she would be doing a solo in front of everyone.
Brad began playing the piano, and many knew the song immediately. The first song she did was very different, comparing to the song she would be doing now- the difference was clear and some were rightfully scared. Never having heard Holden perform such a big song, wondering if she could pull it off.
Holden closed her eyes, and just let herself feel the music.
Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing
Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet
There's such a difference between us
And a million miles
Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore
Hello, how are you?
It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry
I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened?
It's no secret that the both of us are running out of time
So hello from the other side (Other side)
I must've called a thousand times (Thousand times)
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
Hello from the outside (Outside)
At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried)
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore
Ooh-ooh, anymore
Ooh-ooh-ooh, anymore
Ooh-ooh, anymore
Anymore
Hello from the other side (Other side)
I must've called a thousand times (Thousand times)
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
Hello from the outside (Outside)
At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried)
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore. She finished and did exactly that, and felt the music and the club were shell shocked for a few seconds before clapping filled the choir room, including whistling from Mike, Matt, Puck, Niall and Finn.
She opened her eyes and smiled brightly, "that was so good" Mercedes began, "well done girl!" She called and Holden laughed softly before retaking her seat next to Matt who immediately pulled her in for a hug.
