Holden knew Sectionals was important to everyone in Glee club and it was important to her too, but there was a moment she thought she might not make it to the competition- when Asher needed her.
But as she sat in the green room waiting for the New Directions slot she took a deep breath and kept her hand locked with Rachel's.
The blonde would be doing a piece of choreography along with Mike and was petrified of messing up, and screwing with the Glee clubs chance to go to Regionals.
Luckily Mike knew her, and took out his phone to send a message too Mason who arrived within minutes holding their son on his hip.
Within seconds of seeing her son, all the tension left Holden and she jumped up happily to take her son in her arms laying a soft kiss on his curls. Mason took in her appearance and pulled her against his chest with Asher between them and knew Holden would be okay now. She just needed reassurance from both him and their son.
"You will be amazing sweetheart, and we both are so proud of you" Mason murmured softly into the blondes ear and she let out a breath and inhaled the smells of her son and Mason. Strawberry and kiwi shampoo in her sons curls, and the smell of cologne, apple and fire that was uniquely Mason.
She pulled away and let Mike take Asher who happily settled in the tall Asians arms and smiles towards her best friend, "thank you" was her simple words and he knew what she meant.
"Of course," was the snarky response before Mason took Asher back and the seventeen year old made his way towards Matt kissing the darker boys cheek and turning towards the rest of the glee club, "good luck everyone."
Holden quickly took her son in her arms after getting tight hugs from her mom and dad, as well as her aunt and uncle as Quinn made her way into their dads arms.
She spotted Sebastian and quickly moved towards the taller sixteen year old smiling happily at the beaming smile she got in return as they shared a congratulatory hug before Sebastian took Asher into his arms.
"So I guess we'll be competing against each other again," she said simply earning a laugh from the green eyed boy.
"It seems that way doesn't it mon étoile," he replies and Holden smiles up to him before she took his hand and led him towards everyone else having seen Tina do the same for Kurt who pulled Blaine along with him.
As Holden and Sebastian approached the other New Directions and families of those who have come to watch conversation dwindled but Holden could see that most were observing her and Sebastian who was still holding Asher.
"Look who I found," Holden said towards her family and they all smiled towards Sebastian having had him and his family over for many family meals since they moved from France.
Elara was quick to smile at the boy she saw as a nephew, "Sebastian!" Was her enthusiastic reply as she bought the tall boy into a hug being careful of Asher who was happily sat against his hip.
Holden smiled at the scene before she approached Mike who was stood with Brittany and Santana, "hey guys" she said as she approached.
"Who's holding Ash?" Santana asks and Holden notices the Latinas eyes trailing Sebastian, "that's Mase's cousin Sebastian he goes to the same school as Kurt" was Holden's immediate response as Mike pulled the blue eyed girl against his chest which Holden happily allowed, and she let out a content sigh as Mike placed his chin on top of her head.
