Kurt had messaged Holden asking if she was up for coffee at Lima Bean after the meeting between the Hudson-Hummel house and Sebastian, and so the blonde readily agreed knowing Mason would be happy to have some father-son time with Asher.
As Holden walked into the coffee shop she smiled happily at the buzzing of her senses and quickly moved towards the counter to order herself a drink and she got Kurt his usual order before she took a booth which was slightly more private than the regular tables- understanding the conversation they would be having would be a heavy topic and might upset Kurt.
Barley three minutes later Kurt walked in and made a B-line towards the booth smiling softly at the blue eyed blonde as he slid into the seat "hey Kurtie" she said softly, but without pity knowing how much Kurt would hate to receive pity.
"Holly," was Kurt's breathed response and she saw the tension melt away within Kurt. "How did meeting the parents go?" Holden asks teasingly breaking the small tension that remained.
"Splendid," deadpanned Kurt with a roll of his eyes but his mouth twitched and Holden took that as a win. "Pretty sure Seb is now a honorary son and him and Finn got on like brothers immediately."
"He is charming isn't he?" Holden says with a grin and Kurt nodded in agreement- within minutes of arriving Sebastian had charmed Carole, made Burt laugh and was on the receiving end of a Finn Hudson dopey smile. "And the actually talking about how bad it was?" Holden asks hesitantly.
Kurt sighed wearily, "as good as can be. Dad was quickly on the defensive and accusing Finn of not being there but I managed to explain that Finn did everything he could to help me and that Karofsky smartened up and knew not to do it in front of him harshly. Mom got upset that I went through that and gave me a hug, as she asked what I wanted next. Finn blamed himself for not being there, but Seb helped him see that I was good at hiding how bad it had gotten and helped stop him from feeling guilty."
"What's happening now?" Holden asks softly, almost dreading the answer knowing deep down that it was likely Kurt would transfer schools.
"Seb's dad is going to help me press charges against Karofsky and we spoke and have decided as a family that McKinley isn't the place for me at this point of time unless the school improves it's no bullying policy. We spoke to Dean Wilson, and I've been offered a music scholarship to Dalton- full admission with the boarding included for the rest of my Junior year. It will be discussed after Spring break if that scholarship will extend to Senior year."
Holden nodded and took Kurt's hand, "are you happy with that?" She asks and the genuine smile she got in return was all the answer she needed. "Then I'm happy for you Kurtie," she states and Kurt sends her another smile, "when will you tell the others?"
Kurt thought for a moment, "after the wedding. Focus on the wedding, and having those memories made first without the fact that it's the last time I'll probably perform with everyone. Then I'll tell everybody," he states firmly and Holden nodded.
Over that weekend the wedding between Burt and Carole happened, with the Glee club making the wedding one of a kind and full of love for the two receiving a second chance at love.
Both Beth and Asher were a part of the wedding too, with Beth being made the flower girl with Quinn holding her daughter and helping throw the flowers and Asher being the ring bearer with help from Mason.
As the reception continued Holden sat at the table with her mom and dad as the Glee club took turns in taking her son and dancing around the floor with him in their arms, spotting the same being done with Beth- both Mason and Noah on duty at making sure their children were okay and standing almost on guard close by always.
Holden smiled softly at the sight of Mason and Matt dancing together with Asher between them, and without noticing Mike had snuck up and approached her as she turned to face the person who cleared their throat her cheeks flamed at Mike stood with a extended hand for her.
"Dance with me Petit ami?" Holden smiled softly at the nervous boy, "I'd love to" she responded softly taking the hand and letting Mike lead her towards the dance floor.
As they stepped onto the floor Mike span the blonde into him and they moved across the floor in perfect sync. Soft smiles were shared, as they just let themselves become one with each other. Moving in perfect harmony and allowing themselves to forget about everything but the other. Holden's blue eyes were locked on Mike's whiskey brown eyes, and nothing else mattered in that moment.
As the song came to an end and the next song began, Holden blindly took Asher into her arms Mason smiling softly as he turned back to Matt, allowing Holden, Mike and Asher to share a dance.
The night continuing like that and ended with Mason, Holden and Asher sharing a dance as Beth, Quinn and Noah had the same. With Matt and Mike dancing a elaborate tango together as other couples filled the dance floor.
