The New Directions were preparing for Regionals, where they would be facing the Dalton Academy Warbler's once more, and Aural Intensity which Sue had some how taken control of. Though everyone knew she had actually pushed the former coach down a flight of stairs and took control as he was in the hospital.
Along with preparing for Regionals, Holden was also preparing for Asher's first birthday which would fall on the day before Regionals on the 25th of March. Quinn and herself had a discussion on what to do for the day, and they both agreed that they just wanted something quiet and intimate.
There was no point doing a over the top party for the first birthday, when only photos could be memories for both Asher and Beth. The two blonde recognised the need for big birthday parties, came more from parents wanting to feel a sense of accomplishment and both girls knew they could get that from having a intimate affair with family and friends.
As the twenty-fourth of March broke, Holden was on a mission of making sure everything would be okay for her sons first birthday.
Breadstix had been booked out, and the Glee kids as well as some of the Warblers who Holden had grown close to all came together for her son, and Beth. The rivalry between the New Directions and the Warblers was forgotten for the day, and everybody came to be one to celebrate Asher and Beth.
Smaller groups within the large group of people were made at tables, with Holden failing to hide her very clear amusement at Sebastian, Santana and Brittany taking over a circle booth for four. She knew there was mutual attraction between the three, yet she was not sure if anything outside of the party had happened.
Mike, Holden, Matt and Mason were all sat together with Asher swapping between the laps of the four. It may have been weird for those that would look in and see, the two couples sat so easily despite two of the four having a child together. But it worked, Matt and Mason were clearly in love and Holden loved Mason she always would.
But there was a difference between loving somebody and being in love with somebody.
Plus Holden and Mason had found the perfect balance for them.
note, I am so sorry about my lack of writing recently as well as how short my recent chapters have been.
I'm currently in Sixth-Two which is Senior Year for those not within the United Kingdom, and Australia. And my exams are coming up so I have been doing my work for that. As well as my recent new job, which since starting I've only truly had today as a break (I started on the 15).
I am not discontinuing this story, I love what I have written and plan to write too much. However, updates may be a little less frequent than what they have been in the past.
I'm going to use today to try and write multiple chapters in bulk, so I can post as often as possible. I already have about three prewritten chapters, and will be rereading to check they are okay- because despite my busy schedule I want to publish something I'm proud of and yes some chapters may be short in comparison to my Pleaser book, though I think it works better for the style I am doing in this book.
