"J-jungwon y-you're a-alive!" - Jay
After one year of separation and grief these two souls were reunited but will...
"Yeonjun hyung what do I do?" Jungwon asked the other male. It was his first time and he a didn't know what he should do.
"Hmm" Yeonjun tapped his chin with a spoon "Ah! You can be my apprentice! Come here!" he pulled Jungwon to his side.
"Aren't you a waiter? Do you really need a helper?" Jungwon looked at him confused.
"Waiting tables can be stressful, you know?" he complained dramatically "Well I do have one other job if you are you up for it?" Yeonjun's voice turned serious and Jungwon nodded eagerly.
"Okay let me show you" Yeonjun took flour in his hands and patted it. Jungwon watched closely but the next thing the older did confused him. He walked away from the bowl and towards Soobin who was busy icing cakes.
"Hyu-"
Yeonjun brought his finger to his lips and signaled the other to be quiet as he took slow steps to he one who was oblivious.
"Boo!" Yeonjun scared him and rubbed the flour in his face. Soobin dropped the icing pallet onto the cake and it was ruined.
"Choi Yeonjun!" he yelled and picked up the pallet running after Yeonjun who ran circles around the kitchen.
Soobin caught onto Yeonjun and smeared icing all over his face and clothes "Take that you asshole!" he said and stopped when he was satisfied.
"Ew, now my precious face is ruined" he complained and went to the sink to wash his face.
"Ha! precious face my ass! You can't even score one date with that face" Soobin started laughing "Aren't I right, Jungwon-ssi?"
"Uhh I guess?" Jungwon answered. These two seemed mature but surely didn't act like it.
"Whatever" Yeonjun grumbled drying his face with a towel "You wished you could date this face" he snarked and Soobin rolled his eyes dusting the flour from his clothes.
"Uh guys, what do I do?" Jungwon asked again.
"You can take orders at the counter, Jungwon. Usually Yeonjun and I switch places there but you can work there" Soobin said pointing out front.
"Thank you!" Jungwon bowed in respect and went to the register. It should be easy right? He just needs a few hours to-
"Hi! Are you the new employee?" a customer came. How great! Jungwon doesn't know how to work a register.
"I am. What would you like to order?" he asked.
"Hmm one fairy cake please!" he ordered and Jungwon started pushing random buttons until the register opened hitting him straight in the gut.
"Ouch!" he winced. He heard the girl giggle and smile.
"You just push this button and it opens" she reached over and showed him "Thank you" he was grateful and that was embarrassing.
He gave the order to tom and jerry in the back and continued trying to figure out the register until another customer walked in.
"Can you people give me a break? It's my first day" Jungwon grumbled, head held low "What would you like to order?" Jungwon asked in a bitter voice, he still hasn't figured how to work this damn register.
"One iced coffee please?"
Wait? Is that-
"J-jay?" Jungwon quickly looked up to confirm but the said boy was covered in black head to toe almost unrecognizable.
"Jungwon? Why are you here? Wait- are you working?" Jay asked over the register. Jungwon couldn't see his face but he could tell by his eyes, Jay was worried it was actually heartbreaking to see.
"Yes but I can work. I'm not scared of her anymore" Jungwon put on a brave face but Jay was not buying it not even for a penny.
Jungwon noticed Jay's stare "Your order will be finished shortly sir. Please have a seat" Jungwon tried being professional but it was Jay. There were almost married for crying out loud.
"One iced americano..." Jungwon trailed off when he saw Yeonjun and Soobin covered in flour doe.
He just placed the order and sat back at the register. Jay promised to visit him in a week and it's been 8 days. It's only one day late but he is here ordering in a public place, is this americano really more important than him?
"Pst Jungwon" Yeonjun whispered "Can you give the customer the americano for me please? I need to get this dough of me" he said and begged Jungwon who agreed take the drink in his hands.
"Your americano sir" Jungwon gave it to Jay and was about to leave but Jay stopped him.
"About seeing you. I know I said a week but-"
"It's fine hyung" Jungwon cut him short giving him the sweetest smile he can plaster on his face "You'll visit soon, right?" he asked with so much hope and Jay nodded.
"Let's meet tomorrow. 9pm. I'll wait for you at the park" Jay set a date and clenched his fists already excited.

"Woah! Jungwon you look amazing" Sunghoon complimented as the latter walked into the living room.
"Do I?" Jungwon smiled, he put so much effort into his clothes and makeup, the only thing he hoped is for Jay to like it.
"Where are you going?" Heeseung asked curious and a little worry laced in his voice.
"Jay hyung's taking me on a date!" he piped up and took his coat "I'll be back late, don't worry" Jungwon said and walked out the main door.
He walked to the park and waited. It was only 8:45pm so Jay would be here any moment. It was freezing like hell but Jay will be here soon.
9:00pm. Not everyone is on time anyway.
9:15pm. Traffic, Jungwon guessed.
9:34pm. He's an idol for crying out loud. He probably had something to do at the last minute.
10:00pm. No sign of his Jay. Jungwon didn't have his phone with him either.
"Jay will be here soon" he kept telling himself as he tried to keep warm. The stupid coat wasn't much of a help.
11:00pm. Jungwon thought his watch was faulty. Jay will be here soon. He always kept his word, especially with him.
11:30pm. Fuck. It's almost midnight, Jay bailed on him, it was fine. He probably got caught up in work anyway.
Jungwon took out a small crumpled, torn and bloodstained photo of him and Jay. It was taken a year ago. When everything was fine, when they were all happy with no worry in the world.
It was the only photo Jungwon had with him in the hospital when his mother took him away.
