"'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in"

"Hi..." I say nervously.

"Looking for my brother?" he asks.

"Actually, I was about to head home."

"So soon?"

"Yeah... it's the same as any other kind of party... I get bored easily." I explain. I feel weird around him... weirdly good. He just looks as if he is nothing. Nothing but trouble. He gives off a dangerous energy that I cannot describe. God! Why did he have to be so hot? He must have sensed what I was thinking because of what he said.

"Go on. Don't be shy. Ask me out."

Tempting.

Soon but not now.

"Okay. Go out." I say instantly before rolling my eyes and leaving yet I can picture him smirking.

I find Luke flirting with a bartender before I order him to drive me home.

"Oh come on, I was just getting started with her." He says and I roll my eyes. Again.

"You know, I think Damon has a thing for you," He says on the way outside.

"You know Damon?" I ask.

"Yeah, he's part of the council. What was I saying? yeah, he has a thing for you."

I mean Bonnie did say both can't take their eyes off you So maybe...

"I don't think so, I mean he probably was just drunk, or maybe he was just checking me out or something. Can't be sure, I don't know him."

"But I do, and he doesn't look at people the way he was looking at you. It was different."

I blush at the thought of him liking me...

STOP BLUSHING!

"Forget it, I just wanna go home."

"HEYYYYY LENA!" I encounter an over-drunk Caroline on my way. She is stumbling on her way and trying to take support of the walls and furniture around her. I can tell that she was wearing red lipstick but now it's not that prominent anymore, most of it just faded or got smushed away... Her eyeliner looks fresh and she's the only person I know who can apply a perfect and symmetrical coat on both sides while being drunk.

"Hey, Care..."

"YoU Know you're such a bitchhh!" She starts to call me words making my eyes widen and I honestly don't know what to say... That escalated quickly. She went from 'Hey 'Lena let's party all night WOHOOO' to 'You're so mean like don't even talk to me, like just don't even.'

"You know I thought that you were nice, kind and not a slut but I was wrong all this time. You've got all of them wrapped around your fingers. You're the biggest liar, manipulator, slut and attention-seeking bitch that I've ever met." She says and she might be drunk but I've had enough.

"Well, then I guess you haven't met yourself," I say before leaving her all alone and getting in the car.

Luke takes the driver's seat and starts driving without saying something. We spend the ride enjoying the silence between us.

This is the thing with me and Luke, just our presence for each other is fulfilling. We don't use words because we don't need them. The silence between us isn't awkward or suffocating, it's comfortable and just... nice.
