"Nique?" "I hope you not still mad at me". I rolled my eyes at her.
"G i did what I had to fa y'all" "y'all?" "Yes y'all" "whatever"
"I missed you though" "I bet. You look good" "so I take that as you not mad at me nomore". I didn't say anything.
I just stared at her beautiful self. She wore a white beader and some jogging pants with her hair everywhere.
"Stop staring" "I can do whatever"
"Come with me to the beach" "Nique what?" "I told Mo I'd take him to the beach for his birthday but I want to test the waters first. I'm not doing it by myself and i don't want no one else to come with me"
"This how you apologizing?"
"That and I wanna spend time with you"
"You serious forreal huh?"
She nodded.

We were about to kiss but we didn't.
"So you going?" "When?" "Tonight. We'll be back before Monday" "I gotta ask my dads"
She reached out her hand and I took it and we went to ask to dads.
"They said no so we're running away" "no we not. You still young" "Nique you're 19. That's only one year" "and some months. You're not 18 yet"
We chilled in the bed and watched movies for about an hour.
Knockknockknock
"Come in"
Jasun peaked his head in the door.
"If you wanna go you better be gone before your das gets back and be back here before 7 on Sunday"
"Forreal?"
"I'm out of breath. We been boxing for the longest. I'm serious. You better get a move on".
Me and Nique hopped up and got some stuff together and dipped.
Myrtle Beach.
"You want a ocean front room?" "Yeah" "what's wrong?" "I'm just sleepy"
Nique pulled me onto her back and grabbed the key from the lady and took us upstairs.
"Lay down. I'll be back im going to grab our stuff"
I got up and followed her out the door.
"I thought was sleepy" "I am. I just don't want you out here by yourself"
When we got back upstairs we climbed right in bed with each other.
Next morning
"You left me in the bed?" "My fault Nique. I didn't know if you wanted me to or not" "You good mama. Just let me know when you going somewhere"
"What you wanna do first?" "EAT" "damn fat ass" "im not fat. Just hungry" "don't you start that crybaby shit Geni"
I rolled my eyes and laid down.
"Go shower. I wanna rest for a little" Nique nodded and went to shower.
12 mins later
"Mama.. Geni" Nique called out.
Genesis was knocked.
Nique kissed her forehead and let her sleep.
Hr later
"How long did I sleep?" "Like a hour or so" "my fault. I know you wanted to go grab something" I said rubbing her neck.
"It's cool. Go get in the shower so we can go"
I hopped up, took a shower and got clothed.
"Where you wanna eat? And don't say bogangles" "Why nooott" "you not tired of eating that?" "No never. They got a Waffle House?" "No waffle house" "alright then you pick. I'll eat what you eat" "you playing or for real?"
"Whatever you wanna eat Nique". She drove and we pulled up to this brunch place.
"I hope this good" "me too"
We got out the car and went in for food.
"Seats for 2?" We nodded and he seated us.
"What you want Nique?" "Whatever you getting" "I want chicken and waffles. That's what you want ?" She nodded.
"Lemme have 2 chicken and waffles fresh. Thank you"
"You didn't have to be extra with the fresh" "I did. Cause some folks be playing"
"Drink" the man asked.
"Lemonade and Arnold Palmer" the man left and we continued our conversation.
"Can we have some more syrup" "g this one okay" "it's not. It's sticky". I got up and went to the counter.
"New syrup please?" "Yours sticky too?" I looked over and seen this pretty fem.
"Yes. And then he ignoring me like I ain't been here for 5 mins"
I chuckled at her statement.
"Excuse me. Can I get some new syrups?"
They ignored me and they other fem picked up the bell and rang it and didnt stop.
"Yess" some white lady came up to the counter.
"Can I have 2 new syrups please" she said with an attitude.
"We can't give you new ones we can only clean it out"
"But y'all just gave one to that white couple. This some racist shit?" I said and she hummed in agreeance.
"Please leave or we will have security come and escort y'all out"
I pushed the syrup to her. The other fem started getting mad and a stud came and grabbed her trying to cool her down and I walked back to the table.
"What happened?"
"All I did was ask her for a new syrup" "it's not that deep ma. We can just use that one" "I pushed it at her"
I seen the couple walk towards us then peeping a security guard.
I grabbed Nique and I plate and started sprinting out of the cafe behind the other couple.
"Geni what happened?" "The guard"
Me and the other fem looked at each other and just bussed out laughing.
They watched us laugh in confusion.
"My fault. Ari can be a little off" I heard the stud say to Nique.
Nique chuckled.
"Jodi" "Nique" they introduced themselves.
"Y'all wanna try again later. We can have dinner" "yeah. That will be cool" "here type your number"
I typed my number and saved it in the fems phone.
"Geni. I'm ari" we introduced ourselves.
"Alright. Just text me the location and time" I said and we got into the car.
"Genesis you took the plates too?" "Yes" I said eating.
I fed Nique some of her food as she drove.
"When you wanna go to the beach?" "You wanna go now? It's gonna be dark soon"
We got on our bathing suit's and took pictures and left out.
"Nique" "huh?" "This my only rule. Don't let the water go past your waist. If you go im too deep and I gotta come get you it's a problem"
She shrugged her shoulders and went into the water.
